Interior gas fireplace, tennis rackets,basketball,and frisbee’s provided for guest use. This house does have central heat and air. Located in the gated community of Powder Horn Mountain. Renters have access to the outdoor community pool during the summer months as well as hiking trails, clubhouse, fitness center, tennis, campground, fishing, paddle boating, 6 hole frisbee golf course and more. The house is a great getaway, located just a few hours from Charlotte, Greensboro, Winston Salem, and Raleigh. The house comes with all your linens as well as a roll of toilet paper and paper towels. The kitchen is very well equipped with full size gas range and oven, dishwasher, fridge, small appliances like drip coffee maker and a Keurig, blender, toaster, microwave, knives, mixing bowls, cookie sheets, pots and pans, measuring cups and spoons, dinner ware for adults and kids! We do recommend stopping at the grocery store before arrival. Closest grocery store to the community is at the top of Elk Creek rd, Food Lion. Internet and Phone/Entertainment Cell phone signal is spotty but wifi calling is available. (check the settings on your phone) This house is the absolute getaway. PS2 for watching DVD’s and a small selection of games. (note there is no live play because the internet can not support it) We recommend downloading any shows before you arrive. Internet is Viasat and is datalimited. A selection of DVD’s and games are provided. IF you have to work the most reliable internet will be at the zoom calls. PETS are $50 PER PET and charged separately after your initial booking. Please make note of any pets when you book. Just minutes to Boone, Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, West Jefferson, High County festivals, Fly Fishing, Blue Ridge Mountains, Appalachian Trail,Wineries, Breweries, Appalachian State Football! Shopping and local restaurants galore! Ski resorts are about 45 mins away but only 18 -25 miles. Banner Elk and Blowing Rock will be about 45 mins. Tweetsie 35 mins. For baby gear we do have a local provider you can rent from and that info is included in your initial email correspondence pdf. Groceries can be delivered to your house with 24 hour notice. We usually have folks order from Lowes foods for pick up around 2pm the day of check in. There is a fee for this service. The campground in the community is a great place for an outside firepit and smore’s. It sits on laurel creek and is the main starting point for many of our famous hiking trails like the Blue Hole. There are charcoal grills down there as well. We recommend if the pool is busy to go check out the swimming spots on the river at the campground. Absolutely gorgeous! We look forward to having you!

It is a typical, windy mountain road with gravel in some areas. NO steep grades on either side and parking is flat so 4-wheel drive is not required. Boone is an easy 20 minute drive and you can hop on the Blueridge Parkway and be in Blowing Rock in approximately 30 minutes. The nearest grocery store is ten miles away so stop on the way in for groceries or use the offered grocery delivery service. Besides fishing & relaxing on the porch or along the stream, you have hiking trails directly across the street in Powder Horn Mountain and Lil Hidden Creek Gem Mine just a quarter-mile away. There is horseback riding five minutes away in Leatherwood and four ski areas within a 45-minute drive. Bring your fishing poles, inner tubes, food/beverages, and outdoor games and watch all your stress and worry melt away at Twin Creeks Cabin! There is no recycling at the house but there is a recycling center on Elk Creek Road, guests are encouraged to take their recyclables there during their open hours (Mon,Wed,Fri,Sat) House does have WIFI with Riverstreet wireless this is a line of site unlimited data, fiber based, wireless system with standard speeds. It would be viable for zoom calls and streaming just please do so in SD. There are Two TV's with Direct Tv and one TV with a DVD player! Powder Horn Mountain is approximately 13 miles from King St in Boone. It is about a 25 min drive in mountain time. The closest grocery store is Food Lion at the intersection of 421 and old 421 about 8 miles. Additional grocery stores include Lowes Foods, Publix,Harris Teeter and Earth Fare. We recommend that you buy groceries before you arrive, you really won't want to leave when you get here, however, we do have lots of options for those that choose to explore! Local wineries like Grandfather Vineyards, breweries including Molly Chompers, AMB and Booneshine, restaurants galore! Tweetsie Railroad is about 30 miles so about 45 mins and same for most of the ski resorts like Sugar Mountain. You are about 45 mins to Blowing Rock from Powder Horn but it is a gorgeous drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway! For our anglers please note we are right next to Elk Creek which is a state stocked trout stream. You will need your fishing license if you fish there. Main level amenities include the kitchen, living room, dining area, breakfast room, half bath, laundry room, and master bedroom with king bed and large master bath with dual vanities and separate bath and shower. Upper level has two bedrooms one with King bed and one with 2 twins. Shared full bath on this level with card table, and community TV sitting area. Basement has one bedroom with queen bed and game room with queen pull out couch. There is a full bath on this level as well. The game room is equipped with darts, foosball and air hockey, Ms Pacman,2 – 55 inch TV’s 3 recliners and the full size couch! Ample parking for 4 cars. Flat Screen smart TV's in main floor living room, upstairs den and basement game room/sleeper sofa room. House Amenities Linens are provided along with one full roll of toilet paper per bathroom and one roll of paper towel in the kitchen. A small starter packet of laundry pods, dishwasher pods, hand soap, dish soap, sponge and some misc. snacks are provided for each guest. Guests also have access to use all 4 of the propane fireplaces throughout the house to really create that warm inviting atmosphere during your winter stays. The kitchen is heavily stocked with everything you need to feed a large group including all your silverware, dishes, cutting boards, pots and pans, knives, cookie sheets, measuring cups and spoons, can opener, strainer, crock pot, blender, mixer, mixing bowls, casserole dishes, full size side by side fridge with ice maker. Gas stove and dishwasher along with plenty of counterspace for all your cooking needs. Renters do have access to use the garage and go in through that door upon arrival. There is also a combo lockbox on the stairs going to the front door. House does have a propane grill available to guests as well. Electronics There are currently 4 SMART TV’s in the house one on the main level with DIRECT TV, upper level TV, and two TV’s in the basement game room one currently with Direct TV access the other is only a smart TV. Internet Internet is VIASAT satellite internet which works well throughout the house. We do recommend downloading anything you may be binge watching before arrival too many folks on the internet can slow it down! Community Renters have access to the outdoor pool during the summer months as well as miles of hiking trails, community clubhouse, fitness center, tennis court, campground, horseshoe pit, fishing, paddle boating, and more. The house is a great getaway, located just a few hours from Charlotte, Greensboro, Winston Salem, and Raleigh. Cell phone signal is descent especially if you have Verizon but wifi calling is available. (check the settings on your phone) This house is the absolute getaway. Pets are ALLOWED for $50 per pet for the stay. Limited to no more than 3 and dogs only. You must make note of the fur babies when you make your reservation. Bearadise is about 20 minutes to Boone, 45 mins to Banner Elk and Blowing Rock and West Jefferson. This is the perfect place to stay while going out to enjoy High County festivals, Fly Fishing, the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Appalachian Trail, various wineries, breweries, and some App State Football! THE SPACE New Rental September 2021! Welcome to Star View Cabin! The space has been setup to accommodate up to 10 guests comfortably. With no stairs, the main floor includes kitchen, living room, 1 King Bedroom and 4 Twins in Second Bedroom and a full bath. Upstairs includes another full bath, along with a 1 King Bedroom. Downstairs includes an open family room with 1 Queen bed, full bath, laundry room and lower deck access. The new, well equipped kitchen has all new appliances including a gas range. All appliances are full size and smaller appliances like crock pot, blender, keurig and drip coffee maker, cooking utensils and pots and pans, cookie sheets, strainers, knives etc. are included. Exceptionally well stocked for the pickiest cook. Approx. 8 miles to the closest grocery store but Instacart delivers from several stores if anything is forgotten. Wireless mifi internet has supported multiple people working from home but we recommend downloading your Netflix favorites just in case. There is no additional fee to use the community amenities. You will receive booking correspondence when you book that will have the combination to your house as well as your gate code. Please print this off prior to arrival. Fishing in the ponds within the community is welcome without a permit. If you fish on Elk Creek you will need a fishing license. The ponds are not for swimming but the river at the campground is a great place to take a dip! This house does not have an outdoor firepit but we encourage guests to reserve a campground site for their night of s'mores! Wood burning fireplaces on two levels. Wood is not provided but you can order some from your property manager when you book. Check in time is 4pm and check out is 10am. Guest access You will easily be able to park two cars in the driveway a third depending on size, would also be easy to park. The cabin is at the end of the street so if you need to park past the house you can or additional vehicles can be parked in the overflow lot by the clubhouse. You will need a car to get around. Other things to note You do not need 4wd unless we are expecting a nasty storm and you need to get out right away. Please be prepared for those situations. There is a gated entry to the community and you do need to come in the front gate. You will get a guest pass at the front gate when you check in during normal business hours or on Sat from 7am till 5pm. If you arrive in the evening please just pick up your pass the next day. There is no additional fee to use the amenities in the community.
