This is my fourth week at this unit and it is by far my favourite. It pains me to write a positive review, because I don't want it to get booked up when I want it! The only downside is for those who like to be nearer the Village, but the shuttle runs every half hour and the stop is right outside the building. It is only a seven-minute walk on the road.

Spring break at the Aspens | 24 Mar 2019 |
This is a well appointed condo in a great location. The owners were very good with communication and upfront with any issues. (The hot tub was out of commission and awaiting repairs during our stay). The only negative comment I have is the cleaners were missing a step (dirty fridge, counters, and recycling left from previous tenants). The maintenance was subject to minor issues as there were burnt out ceiling lights in two bed rooms and burnt out lights in the oven. Overall I was pleased with our stay and would stay there again.

We had a great week and would recommend this condo to family and friends. The accommodations were spacious, clean and well equipped. Underground parking was easy to get to. The ski locker was close and spacious and the ski in and ski out access was very easy. We regularly came in for lunch each day. We are a family of 5 and the condo provided ample space for all of us. The unit was well stocked with towels and extra sheets and had many of the the little things you needed (laundry detergent, garbage bags, left over spices and coffee etc.). The walk into the village took 10 minutes and the bus was easy to access for the return trip. The only reason we did not rate it 5 stars was the Hot Tub was out of order. The Hot Tub was an important consideration when we booked this unit. The owners did notify me that it was out of order and provided a 10% refund approximately 6 weeks before our stay. Had it been available, this unit is definitely a 5 star stay.

Excellent Condo Experience | 28 Feb 2019 |
We had an excellent time staying here. The condo was warm and spacious. The ski slopes are a few steps short steps away. It was super easy to come in for lunch, and later head back out. Would love to come back.

Great location, ski-in/ski-out. Biggest disappointment: short notice, hot tub not working!!! Definitely accommodation for six, limited kitchen plates/utensils, need to wash dishes after each meal. Dishwasher does not clean dishes well despite various washing cycles tried. Pans are old and worn, sticking when trying to prepare meals. Oven has build up of old cooking spills, setting off smoke alarm when using, obviously not well cleaned between rentals. Living space provides comfortable couch seating for three people only. More sofa/couch space needed. Bedrooms were comfortable. Nice to have washer and dryer in the unit. Wall switches, ceiling fan, fireplace control, etc. need to be labelled. Firstly the good. The unit is every bit as good as it looks in the photos. It is well maintained and in a great location. Easy walk to the village or courtesy busses every 30 minutes if your feeling lazy. Now the bad. We specifically chose this unit as it had a hot tub, when we got there the hot tub was empty. Contacted the owners straight away and were told it “only broke last week”. After discussions with various people involved in the maintenance and repairs of the hot tubs at Big White we discovered it had had issues for the last year and the owners were told back then about the issues, while it was still running when we booked it was certainly at risk of failing. It was a huge disappointment for us that we were not told about these issues when we booked and it certainly had a huge negative impact on our stay at Big White. It was also disappointing that we were never offered any sort of compensation or discount as we booked a unit with a hot tub and didn’t get what we paid for. - Jeff T., Munruben, Australia

The unit was beautiful - even better than the photos. It was a 10 minute walk from the Village, which wasn't bad since we got a bus schedule which only took 3 minutes, every half hour. The bus stop was just outside Parkade 4 in the building where we were staying. The only negative was the communication with the owners which was minimal, and I had to follow up as the date drew near. This was especially discouraging as Owner Direct emphasized how important it was to communicate with the owners. It took us 1.5 hours to find the correct unit and parking space as the building code worked in all the buildings, the parking spaces and unit numbers were the same and it wasn't clear which building was which. Luckily, we eventually ran into a couple who owned 309 in another building, but they didn't know what building they were in. But at least we learned where to look for the right building. An update in the instructions would be good: "...the unit is in Building #4, which is also where Parkades #3 and #4 are located. The allotted parking space for 309 is in Parkade #3. The codes work in all buildings and parkades so be sure to find the right one! The ski locker is located on the same floor as the unit, and ski access to the mountain is from the 4th floor."

Well Worth It | 20 Mar 2016 |
This is a very nice apartment - I am a tough marker and am yet to give 5 stars for an apartment anywhere. :) Sleeps 6 very comfortably, well equipped full kitchen, 2 toilets and 2 bath/showers, comfy lounges, and a balcony spa that fits 6 people. The bedding is very comfy and the heating works perfectly. It is well located in The Aspens which is the highest Condo block in Big White, which means you well and truly are IN the snow with great ski-in/ski-out on your choice of Green or Blue runs that take you to lifts or the village in 1-2 minutes skiing. The free Big White courtesy bus stops at The Aspens every 30 minutes, and it is only a 2 minute ride to the main village area of restaurants, etc., so why would you stay in a more expensive condo in the village when you still have to walk 2-3 mins to restaurants, etc.. Our Aspens stay | 15 Jan 2014 |
My family spent a week at the Aspens at Big White. The unit was lovely, everything was just as we expected. The condo is well stocked with everything you need for you stay, we did most of our cooking in the unit and found the kitchen very easy to use. Laundry facilities in the unit made it very easy to dry the kids things and do a quick load of laundry if needed. The WiFi for the unit was locked, and no one could figure out the password, fortunately my son was able to plug the internet directly into his computer to do his homework. Having the private hot tub was a bonus and a great way to relax after a day of skiing. Access to the runs were very easy, one short flight of stairs and you're on your way to a day of skiing. The village is a short walk, but there is also a shuttle bus that you can take. - Jeannette E., Stanwood, USA
