Loved, loved, loved our stay in Downtown Vancouver. We appreciated the close proximity to all the downtown attraction. We stayed on the 29th floor and enjoyed watching the sunset and sunrise every morning across the bay ( you could see Canada place, Harbor Center, North Van). I highly recommend it!!

My wife and I stayed in this one bedroom condo while attending a conference occurring at the convention center and downtown hotels. The condo is on the 24th floor of the Hudson Building. The condo is attractive, well furnished, and well maintained with excellent views that are especially impressive at night. The use of key fobs to gain entry to the building and elevator provide excellent security. The cost was less than we would have spent for the convention hotels. I would book it again in a heartbeat.

The thing that really sets this condo apart from others is the location. The condo is within easy walking distance of the convention center, main downtown hotels, and Gastown with plenty of shopping and an IGA grocery store nearby. The condo sits atop the Granville Skytrain station which we used to connect with AMTRAK which is accessed at the Pacific Central Station just across from the Main Street Science World Skytrain Station using the Millennium and Expo lines. I think you could also use the Skytrain Canada Line to get to and from the airport. For an excursion, we took the #50 bus to Granville Island, False Creek Ferry from Granville Island to Science World, and then got the Skytrain back to the condo. You can get along quite well without a car, but parking is available at the condo.

Airfare from Kansas City to Vancouver would have been $440 round trip. We flew into Seattle for $180 saving $260 each. We spent $76 each round trip for the AMTRAK Cascades from Seattle to Vancouver which hugs the coastline and has very nice scenery on the coastal side for about half of the trip. We used Seattle's Central LINK light rail to get from the Seattle airport to the Seattle AMTRAK Station. As part of that we spent a night at the Pioneer Square Best Western (highly recommended) and still saved money compared to flying into Vancouver.
