We wake up to breathtaking snowy mountain peak views. Access just how long it is going to take to eat and get out there for first tracks. We decide the courses. After a day on the slopes, no one has to talk us into a hot tub to soothe our aching joints (we are getting older and there is always too much snow to shovel). Watching the snow fall with more expressos, and we often slip out for an evening skate on the outdoor skating rink. The braver ones taken in the hockey game at the outside rink. We couldn't believe how great the snow was, how big the mountain was and how few people there were. In 2009 we were looking to buy and we decided to come back to double check if everything we remembered about it was true. It was and we happened to stumble upon a great deal on this home and jumped at the opportunity. With any life changing event there is always a little voice that wonders if you are doing the right thing. That voice went away and never came back after we had to stop for a black wolf in the middle of the road between Banff and Golden. We knew this was the place for us. Surveyor's beach is on a lovely small lake (no motors) 30 minutes drive in the summer/fall and has lots of turtles and some fish, paddleboards and other water toys for rent. OWNERS We are retired professional couple who enjoy Fernie in the summer and now head for the warmer climes in the winter thus we would like you to enjoy our home and skiing while we are away. This is our second winter offering our home, EVERYONE last year loved the place stating "the pictures don't do your home justice, it is MUCH more than we expected." Property Description Three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms with almost all the amenities you could ask for including a well equipped kitchen, free WIFI, cable TV and lots of seating. There is one queen size bed upstairs with attached bath and on the main level a huge master with a king size bed and attached bath. The third bedroom has two over-sized single beds. All come with cozy warm duvets. Living room has two couches and 4 chairs, a ceramic wood stove/fireplace with lots of wood out back. The Dining room table seats 6 or you can seat 3 at the breakfast bar for a quick exit to the ski hill. We ask that you check-in after 4 PM and check-out no later than 11 AM so that the home is well cleaned before and after you. If there is no one before or after you early/late check-in/out can be arranged.
