All upstairs bedrooms have HDTV with DVD, cable channels, and the highest speed Wi-Fi. We have a ping pong, outdoor firepit, outdoor shower with hot and cold water, wood burning indoor fireplace (impossible to find in this area) and a 52-inch TV in the Great Room. The roof deck has an enclosed glass room with fridge, toaster and coffee-maker, seating bar and chairs that look out at the sunset and ocean, 4 dining tables and matching chairs that we personally shipped from Morocco, outdoor sectional couch and chaise lounge chairs, multiple umbrellas, roof deck has a nice, above code height railing. There are 3 spiral Staircases that lead to the roof deck both interior and exterior access. Our home has a Bertazzoni professional range, new Bosch dishwasher, 2 sinks in fully stocked kitchen, kuerig and traditional coffee maker, front-load washer/dryer, gas grill, and one Weber charcoal grill (Weber available upon request). All towels and bedding are high thread counts. Kids just love the blue room full of pillows at the top of the turret.

(There is also regular bus service into the town of Monterey, and also down the coast to the Point Lobos Wildlife Reserve.) The house is a two-bedroom cottage, painted dark grey with white trim, across the street from the side of the La Playa Hotel. It has a gravel driveway big enough for one car. The La Playa Hotel was built in the 1920s and is on the National Register of Historic Hotels. The house is two and half blocks from the town beach, which is over half a mile long. At one end is a famous Frank Lloyd Wright house, built on a cliff; on the other end is Pebble Beach golf course. There are two more public beaches within five miles. The house is 900 square feet, with a deck that wraps around two sides. Half the roof is an upper deck with garden furniture, reached by an outdoor staircase. It has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, plus a new sofa bed in the living room. The house comfortably sleeps 6 adults. (Guests who have tried the queen-size sofa bed have given us good reviews.) We’ve restored the original oak floors from the 1940s in the house’s older section.
