    The villa is located in the mountains on an off-track road, 2 minutes drive from the main road. This is real rural Spain where you have friendly Spanish neighbours. There is a secure gated property with a sloped driveway and steps leading to the main property. (The garage is kept locked at all times). Outside is a bbq area with utensils provided, deck chairs and a little bistro table to the side as well as a hammock. There are plenty of areas to unwind and chill including a sun terrace by the pool that gets the sun all day long. There is an outside dining table with 6 chairs shaded under the pine tree. Upstairs is a large balcony with chairs to relax with a sunscreen. The sun beams here all day long and can get a little hot. Beautiful views of the village in the distance. The house itself doesn't have any aircon but because the villa is positioned higher up, it does get a lovely breeze blowing through the home. We rented it for the first time last summer and didn't have any complaints. Pets are very welcome, we love dogs but please respect our home. There is a large part of the garden dogs can go on to the side of the villa (you'll notice we have bonfires here)! Bedsheets and towels are provided as well as a fully equipped kitchen including a microwave. We run our home on solar and lived there for 5 months in the winter with no problems. We have a more than an efficient system but please just think green when you are here. You'll get a full phone signal and fast broadband here. There are 3 rubbish bin locations on the urbanisation to please clear up after yoursleves. There are so many places to explore here and we truly hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

    Casa louisa is a delightful traditional spanish casa with modern comforts such as double glazing and air conditioning but still retains some of the quirky spanish characteristics, which adds to the appeal of the house. Kitchens are not a big feature in spanish casas and our kitchen is small, but well-equipped with a gas hob, electric oven, fridge freezer, coffee machine, toaster and kettle. There is also a beer/wine fridge. The bedroom layout is typically spanish with adjoining bedrooms. The main bedroom is spacious with ample storage, ceiling fan and air conditioning/heating unit. This bedroom has a small balcony. Great for watching the semana santa and summer processions, which all pass by the house. The rooftop terrace is ideal for outdoor eating and chilling out at night or just sit back and watch the beautiful sunsets over the rooftops. The house could be described as quirky and there are quite a lot of stairs both inside and outside the house. As a result, it may not be suitable for young children. Casa louisa has a small flat screen TV with limited satellite channels but we do have a great supply of books. If required, internet access can be supplied via a 4g myfi router at a cost of 6 euros per day or 25 euros per week. A 50 euros refundable deposit for the unit is payable to our onsite representative you'll find everything you need to enjoy your holiday in rute. The house is a few minutes' walk to the tapas bars, restaurants, shops and other local facilities. The town has several museums including a jamon and anis museum, where you can sample some local delicacies. There are plenty of local shops selling bread, jamon, cheeses, fresh fruit and a great supermarket with a superb selection of fresh fruit and vegetables, fresh fish and of course, wine and spirits. If you like swimming there's an excellent municipal swimming pool in rute and you can also use the pools at the local hotels when purchasing food. The pools are unheated and ideal for cooling off on those long hot summer days. Rute sits on the edge of the subbetica natural park and is ideal for exploring the towns and villages that surround the park and don’t forget to check out the via verde. You can go walking, running, hill walking, bird watching and cycling. There are local organisations offering organised tours or you can just go off to explore on your own. Just a few miles away is the picturesque village of iznajar and close by valdearenas beach on the lake where you can swim, take a boat tour, hire kayaks, pedalos and canoes. Ideal for a picnic or enjoy the local cuisine at the beach restaurant. There's also an excellent municipal pool close to the lake. If you want a visit to the tourist areas and the beaches; nerja, torre del mar, torremolinos and the costa del sol are just over an hour's drive from rute and make for an excellent day out. The cities of cordoba, granada, malaga seville and jaen are all within easy driving distance from the house and great for a day's sightseeing trip to LA mesquita, alhambra, picasso museum and the alcazar. Rute is an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding area, rute is about 110 KM north of malaga, just over an hour by car. Granada airport in the east is approximately 98 KM and seville airport in the west is approximately 172. KM. There is no private parking at the house but plenty of on street parking.

    The guesthouse is situated inside the private estate of the well-known "Glass House", just 70 meters from the spectacular cliffs of Loiba. The estate sits on top of a hill overlooking the small village of Loiba to the south-east and the ocean and Estaca DE Bares to the north-east. It is the perfect place to enjoy the solitude and tranquility that this country/ocean setting has to offer. The guesthouse has a loft-like distribution with an open kitchen but a long, sliding door offers the option of closing off the bedroom from the living/dining/kitchen area. There is a wood-burning stove which not only offers warmth and comfort for those cooler days and evenings, but the sound of the crackling fire and flickering flames add a cozy touch and even company, like another welcome guest. The kitchen is fully equipped allowing for abundant breakfasts, cozy lunches, afternoon tea, or romantic dinners. When the weather permits those meals can be had on the porch. All these locations can also be reached by bicycle, motorbike, or car. Although most people come visit the area by car, one could also easily come here without one. The FEVE train station(daily trains to and from Ferrol) is just down the hill about 400 meters away and the bus station (daily buses to and from LA Coruña and Santiago DE Compstela) is just 700 meters away. There is a small supermarket about 400 meters away that has absolutely everything, several Bars/cafés, and a very good restaurant that offers local cuisine. The activities in the area endless, I could easily write a book.
