Nice is 1 hour and and 14 minutes by car. The local vineyards are superb with great quality wines. “We had a fantastic holiday in this spacious 3 bedroom house with a magnificent swimming pool set in beautiful gardens in the hills above Les Arcs. The location is very peaceful and private. The swimming pool was the focus of our stay, the lack of chlorine was much appreciated and it has to be said that it was one of the best pools we have ever experienced. The pool is also toddler friendly because it has a gradual descent into the pool which gave our toddler the confidence to learn to swim. The house is tastefully decorated, clutter free, with modern furniture and mod cons. There is a functional kitchen with all the amenities we needed and an outdoor barbecue. The upstairs bedrooms have a shared balcony which gave us extra space and views of the surrounding area. As cyclists, we appreciated the use of the double garage for secure storage. We could descend down into les arcs for coffee and croissants at the excellent Le Tour cafe and return via traffic free roads through vineyards and leafy lanes. There is a local cycle path about 20 miles long, where the gradients were easy and gave panoramic views of the local vineyards. If you do this track, make sure you stop at the Station Rosalie (green caravan), west of Lorgues, serving the best bruschetta any of us had ever tasted. A trip to the Gorge De Verdon is spectacular and would make a great place to visit for either kayaking, cycling or walking. There is a big choice of local supermarkets, Boulangerie’s and a fruit and veg shop offering fantastic fruit and vegetables to die for, are within easy access by car or bike. The area seems to specialise in rose wine and the Chateau Saint Pierre is just south of Les Arcs selling great bottles for a good price. We had an incredible holiday and we can’t wait to go back! ”

Honey colored stone walls, stone tile floor, ancient wooden beams and a huge medieval fireplace set the tone for this main floor. A fully applianced kitchen with a granite countered cooking area is built into one of the old fireplaces. Antique carpets and leather seating offers a comfortable area to relax, listen to the stereo or view English satellite television on the 30' flat panel television. On arrival the owner showed us around the villa, absolutely huge. Lovely area. She also kindly took us to the local LIDL for shopping for the week. She waited to take us back to the villa which we did not realise and ordered ourselves an Uber. Fantastic location, 20 minute walk to old town, through a lovely park. Lovely restaurant at the bottom of the hill (highly recommend). The owner kindly left a bottle of wine at the villa as well as some condiments. The owner was always on hand with any queries. Very happy family. Would highly recommend this villa and would defintiely return. " Exceptional 5/5: We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at the villa. The owners are such a lovely couple and so obliging. The villa was better then we expected everything we needed, there is a restaurant a short distance and supermarket the old town is just 20 minute walk. We look forward to our next trip. - Stayed Jul 2016 Margaret L. Excellent Location 5/5: The villa is exactly, if not better than the pictures and is really well appointed and furnished, outstandingly clean and tidy with everything you need to have a great stay, The balcony's, patios and pool areas are excellent although we never got chance to use the barbeque and pizza oven (too lazy). It is in excellent location 20-30min walk to the old town but far enough away to have a private relaxing holiday, it's close to local shops and restaurants. The owners couldn't have been more helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Whilst at the villa we went to Zoomarine & did a day long jeep safari both were excellent.I would fully recommend this villa without any reservations for couples and families. We would definitely stay here again without hesitation. - Stayed Apr 2016 Absolutely stunning. 5/5: The property is around half an hours walk from the centre of albufeira. The villa is beautifully decorated, clean and really homely. It has absolutely everything you would need for a week in the sunshine. The owners were extremely welcoming throughout the holiday. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. A real find in a lovely quiet area, great for families and groups. - Stayed Sep 2015 Sarah G.
