Go with a open mind and you cannot beat this place. There is no AIR CONDITIONING and the beds are a little rough, but you gain so much ore from the location and the views. The atmosphere is great for experiencing the city the way it should be. The cook David was the best at making every meal a treat. The owners respond quickly to questions and keep you well informed. This beautiful three bedroom, three bathroom home in located on a beautiful sandy beach in Mazatlan, Mexico. Emerald Bay is at the north end of Mazatlan, and is an area of high end homes and full time residents. The beach is quiet and private, yet the property is close to town, a 5 minute drive to restaurants and amenities. Each bedroom has its own ensuite, as well as a private balcony. The home is fully outfitted with linens, towels, and a fully operational kitchen. Each bedroom is located on the ocean side of the home, one bedroom with a king size bed, one queen size, and two bunk beds (4 singles) in addition, the childrens room contains a pull out couch. The top floor of the villa contains a large sunbathing/bar area, and the main floor also contains a large deck with stairs to the beach. The Emerald Bay area is known for its fishing and the sunsets are amazing. This residence is child and pet friendly and is the perfect get away for a family vacation. Please note that this property is located past the end of the bus line, a rental car is recommended. Taxis are available but can be challenging if you are fluent in Spanish.

Our casa, built on a large double lot in the midst of a mature tropical garden is fully walled for privacy and security. We have a good size heated pool, large poolside palapa for dining and relaxing and an enchanting guest house on an adjoining lot, fully enclosed as well, which can be added to the rental to accommodate large rental parties and multi generation families. The house is fully and tastefully furnished in a Mexican decor with a well equipped kitchen and plenty of linens and beach towels. The ground floor includes a large, open living/ dining area (with pool table, library, sound system etc), full bath, and open kitchen. Upstairs there are three double bedrooms, two full bathrooms as well as a tv/ den area. The delightful two room casita ( guest house) has a king bedroom, en-suite bath, small but fully equipped kitchen and comfortable living area. We are close to basic local shopping and a ten minute walk to the beach, the centre of town, shopping and plentiful restaurants. Barra de Navidad is a charming, sleepy fishing town, built on a sandbar in the Bahia de Navidad on the pacific coast of Mexico. We are a twenty minute drive from Manzanillo international airport, a four hour drive north to bustling Puerto Vallarta and a four hour drive inland to beautiful Guadalajara. Other than the 5 star Isla de Navidad Gran Hotel and golf across the lagoon and the nearby, soon to be completed exclusive Four Seasons Tamarindo, Barra, as it’s known familiarly ,remains calm, relaxed and home to Canadian expatriates as well as to many Mexican families from Mexico City and Guadalajara.
