An intriguing waterfront vacation property located 3 miles from Nelson City on pristine Kootenay Lake in south central British Columbia Canada. It is a majestic log post and beam structure that can accommodate a large number of guests. The open floor plan and sweeping sliding windows open up to a massive deck and a stunning panoramic views up and down the lake, the mountains and forest of the opposite shore and an assortment of wildlife calling the lake home. In winter, a short 30 min drive brings you to Whitewater Ski Resort, one of the finest powder ski venues anywhere. It attracts powder hounds, boarders, free skiers and cross country enthusiasts from all over the world from November to March, along with another highly rated resort, Red Mountain, about a 1 hour and 30 minutes to the south. With two fireplaces in the dining - living room the lodge is a cozy home to return to after a serious day of outdoor recreation. In season, the Nelson Maple Leafs Jr. Hockey Team plays at the new Civic Arena, a good locale to meet Nelsonites at leisure. Nelson City has a unique culture that emphasizes the laid back style that recalls the 60's and 70's era. It has a lively social scene for all types, with live music and interesting drinking establishments and dining venues. The town is a declared heritage location from it's wealthy mining boom days of the early 1900's and it has proudly preserved all it's great architecture from that era. Unique shops and crafts are readily accessible to shoppers looking for something different. In summer there are street markets two days a week selling fresh local produce, baking and specality foods, mostly organic and all local. It's large lakeside park, a gathering spot for locals and visitors alike to sunbath and stroll, is also the site for summer festivals. This is an all season retreat and a rare opportunity to enjoy a visit to Nelson B.C.In grand style.

Payment Methods

Booking Deposit
The damage deposit is required to complete the booking. Long Term Stay booking is confirmed with a deposit that is 40 percent of the rent.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation 90 or more days prior to arrival, all payments are refunded.
Security or Damage Deposit
A refundable security/damage deposit of 40 percent of the rent is due immediately. When warranted, the deposit (or portion thereof) is refunded within 10 days of departure., Long term rentals may be subject to a larger deposit.

Cleaning on Departure
A fee is charged for Cleaning on Departure One-time fee of 250.00 CAD for stays of any number of nights or occupants. If the guest leaves the property clean, a partial or full rebate of the cleaning fee may apply.
