The airy beamed lounge has a large feature fireplace with electric stove heating,adjoining a well equipped open plan kitchen diner that seats 4 comfortably around the dining table. There is a combined shower room - WC. To the rear of the gite is a private garden with sunloungers, table, chairs & BBQ for alfresco eating. To the front there is a large grassed garden for boules, football, badminton, cricket, swingball & frisbee. We are located midway between 3 main towns: historic Mortain (10mins) important in turning the tide of the Battle for Normandy in WW2 (the site of the heroic resistance of the 30th Infantry Division - Old Hickory - at La Petite Chappelle can just be seen from our fields); the beautiful medieval town of Domfront (15mins) high on a hill overlooking the Orne countryside; and the market town of St. Hilaire du Harcouet (20mins). A The north coast D-Day landing beaches of Omaha, Utah, Sword, Gold & Juno, & the military cemeteries at Colleville-sur-Mer (American), Bayeux (British) & Beny-sur-Mer & Bretteville-sur-Laize (Canadian) are all within an easy drive, as is the fearsome Pointe du Hoc. The stunning beaches on the western coast from Granville, down along the Baie du Mont St Michel to the awesome UNESCO heritage site that is the Mont itself are also not to be missed. St. Malo, Rennes, William the Conqueror's birth town of Falaise, Bayeux, Avranches, Laval and the stunning medieval town of Fougeres are all excellent days out too. Activities for children include the Enchanted Village of Bellefontaine, Alligator Bay, Ange Michel, Champrepus Zoo, and Falaise Castle with its excellent interactive treasure hunt. There are numerous museums & Brocantes in the area to pass an enjoyable hour or two exploring bygone days. Or why not visit local cider producers & sample their delicious offerings of Cidre, Poiré & Calvados. The surrounding area is good for walking and cycling, with a network of Voies Verte in the region. We accept payment by direct Bank Transfer. 25% non refundable booking deposit. Booking Deposit
The booking is confirmed with a deposit of 25 percent of the rent.
Payment Balance
Balance of payment is due 60 days prior to arrival.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation 60 or more days prior to arrival, 5 percent of all payments are refunded.
Security or Damage Deposit
A refundable security/damage deposit of 190 EUR is due 14 days prior to arrival. When warranted, the deposit (or portion thereof) is refunded within 7 days of departure.

Quiet Time Policy
There is no specific quiet time policy, though guests are asked to be respectful of all neighbours. Property is not suitable for party groups.

Smoking/Vaping is not allowed inside or outside (applies to all occupants & guests).
Children Policies
Children of all ages are welcome.
Group & Min. Age Policies
There are group or minimum age requirements. Adult guests must be 18 years or older. Hosting a function/party is not allowed. Parents/guardians may not book for underaged guests. Extra or unauthorized occupants could result in eviction without refund.
Pet Policy, Deposit & Fees
Pets are not allowed due to bylaws/regulations/policies. NOTE: Persons traveling with and requiring a Service Animal have special rights and must be granted access regardless.
Cleaning on Departure
Cleaning on Departure is included in the rent Guest is expected to remove the garbage & recycling on departure. If property is left in unreasonable condition, extra cleaning fee will apply. The guest is expected to clean the BBQ. Extra charges could apply.
Cleaning During Stay
There is no cleaning/maid service available.
Linen
Linen is included in the rent Beach towels should be brought by guest. Towels are not allowed outside of the property.
