Unique and charming, this 2 bedroom rural house sleeps a maximum of 3 people. With bags of character and previously used as stables years ago it is set out on one level on the outskirts of a traditional Canarian village. The house has everything you need for a relaxing holiday, providing a home away from home. With its spacious layout offering 1 double & 1 single bedroom, a separate fully equipped kitchen, lounge - dining room and a newly renovated shower room all leading off a central hallway, the house combines modern amenities with a traditional feel, comfortably furnished in a rustic style with wooden beamed ceilings & cool whitewashed walls. Outside, our guests enjoy their own enclosed private south facing terraced garden on 3 levels. The upper level has a table and 4 chairs with an umbrella plus a BBQ for alfresco dining and on the middle level are sun loungers & umbrella. Steps lead down to a chillout area with sofa & chairs perfect for pre-dinner aperitifs or cocktails, plus a patio heater for cooler evenings. There is also a hot tub for our guests’ sole use and the garden is south facing offering views to the sea, countryside and mountains. Guests have their own separate entrance. Our home is ideal for couples seeking a relaxing peaceful hideaway and perfect for honeymooners. It is not a party house. Situated on the outskirts of San Miguel de Abona at an altitude of approximately 560m above sea level, the property is just 20 minutes drive to the nearest beaches, 25 minutes to the nightlife of Los Cristianos and Las Americas, 15 minutes to Amarilla Golf & Golf del Sur golf courses and 15 minutes to Tenerife South airport. San Miguel offers several nice restaurants, cafes and bars within walking distance which mainly offer Canarian cuisine and tapas, although there is an Italian restaurant and a couple of Venezuelan bar - cafes. There are a couple of supermarkets in the village, plus a butcher, fruit & vegetable shop, bakery, banks, post office and a chemist. San Miguel is ideal for walking - hiking as there are several walking trails and various historical points of interest in the area. Cycling is popular here too. We are also ideally placed for exploring Tenerife’s varied countryside and natural beauty, the most famous being the Teide National Park (Parque Nacional del Teide) with its spectacular volcanic scenery. Those interested in astronomy can also participate in stargazing group trips. Just 20 minutes away is Vilaflor, the highest village in Spain, where there are several vineyards making wine tasting also an option. The coastal town of El Médano, 25 minutes drive away, is fantastic for kite and wind surfing. Your hosts have lived here for the past 19 years and, being next door, are available at all times to answer any questions or provide any assistance you need.
