Good for Groups - Know what you are getting.... Definitely a rental in many aspects. Dishes are old and crummy - need replacement. Bedding is comforters that don't look to be washed frequently. Upstairs loft closet was full of trash. The upstairs is all beds and can fit a lot of people, convenient for big groups but not a lot of privacy. Needs upgrading. Good price for vail but you get what you pay for.

Decent value This unit in the Ptarmigan complex is conveniently located on the bus route, clean and neat, and overall decent. It isn't updated, the kitchen tools (pans, etc) are old and beat up, and it's a bit tired overall. But I guess the price reflects those issues as it's one of the more affordable units. Lots of beds in the loft area would be helpful for large groups. Another large negative is the indoor hot tub in the common area of the complex. Outdoor is the only way to go for after ski tubbing.

Spring Break We have been using Gore Creek Properties for years and staying at Ptarmigan. Unit 24 has had bathroom remodels and they are gorgeous! We love the location of Ptarmigan and the bus stop right there. It’s a quick ride to Lionshead or Vail Village. Easy in and out of the Gore Creek offices even when it is after hours.

WE LOVE GORE PROPERTIES Ptarmigan 24 was great for our family of 4! WE all had a great place to sleep and the property itself was well kept, comfortable and super close to shops, restaurants and, of course, skiing!

great location but needs a facelift For the price the location was very convenient. For the size of the condo there was plenty of comfortable seating in the living space. The pots and pans were in horrible shape. The glassware was cloudy with water stains. Overall the kitchen and bathrooms need to be revamped. The condo was pretty beat up and dated.

Townehouse in West Vail Nice bed layout - sleeps 7 upstairs without sharing beds. Comfortable downstairs, but it would be tight for 7 or more adults. Unit has not been updated since the...? Couch and chairs were nice as was the dining room table (the nicest piece of furniture here). <br/>Need to update the utensils, plates, bowls, etc. Cookware has torn teflon coatings. Dishwasher did not get plates/glasses clean. <br/>Shuttle bus is a short walk and comes every 30 minutes. Hot tub is not a close walk when it is cold. Have to walk about 400' from the front door to get to the hot tub. It is indoors with a bathroom to change clothes so that is convenient. <br/>Parking lot of the complex does not have any lights so watch out for ice that you cannot see at night.<br/>We have stayed in much nicer places and some that are worse/older. With some updates listed above this could be a very nice unit. It was decent overall and we would stay here again. <br/>Shuttle stop was only 3 away from the Cascade Lift and 4 from Lionshead so the bus ride was fast. <br/>

This is a great 2 bed/2 bath West Vail townhome with a den and 2 lofts. It can accommodate 11 guests and has access to the community summer pool and hot tub. There is a bus stop for the free Vail ski shuttle at the complex.. This is a lovely 2 bedroom/2 bathroom West Vail townhome with a den and 2 lofts. There is a wood burning fireplace, washer and dryer, a hot tub for complex use only, and a pool that is open during the summer season. This home has great bedding for two families or groups of singles who don't wish to share beds. There are two loft spaces above the upstairs den one with a single bed and the other one with a queen bed. The den area between the two bedrooms has one single bed and a bunk bed. The two bedrooms have a king in the master and a queen in the second bedroom. The townhome complex is on Gore Creek in West Vail and within a half a mile of grocery stores, restaurants, and bars. It's a short 2 mile bus ride into Lionshead or Vail for skiing. The complex conveniently has its own shuttle stop. This property does not allow any pets and is NON SMOKING.;
