NEEDS TLC!
This is the second time staying at this exact property and room. The first was about 4 years ago. I would have thought the nasty carpet and sofa bed would have been upgraded or at least deep cleaned. I would highly suggest throwing out that carpet that is in the living room area. Also one of the dining chairs is broken. The sofa bed is stained and the mattress couldn't be slept on. They did have a foam cushion that was in the closet in a trash bag that could be used as an added layer of cushion for the mattress. Please do some upgrades to this unit, as it could be a 4-5 star review if these items would be replaced.

Great Waikiki location
This was probably the best VRBO rental I've ever had, and they've all been pretty good. Location was fantastic, 5 minute walk to the beach and the main drag in Waikiki with all the restaurants and shopping. Check-in/out was easy and the parking spot was a blessing. Room was in great condition and had beach chairs, boogieboards and umbrellas for use. Would definitely stay here again.

Great view, nice location.
Very nice location, close to the beach and a great view on Diamond Head. As described. Right next to the elevator. The faint noise you could hear if you were in the bathroom was not bothersome. I would surely rent again this appartment. Mahalo!

Convenient and Well Kept
This was our first experience at the Waikiki Sunset. While the building is older, the room was very well kept. It did not feel old or out of date at all. Checking in was easy and everything went very smooth. <br/><br/>The location was extremely convenient and the neighborhood was safe. Walking to the beach, food or entertainment was way and very close by. The view was nice. <br/><br/>Overall it was a great place to stay.

Good location.
Nice building, free parking with Vrbo rental, big full 1 bedroom 1 bath unit with free internet and 2 cable tvs <br/>Coffee pot was the only disappointment. Would rent again but Waikiki is getting so packed I think we’ll just cruise from now on.

Bad Trip great host
Vacation rental was very nice would rent again. Our trip was bad from the start covid test was not acceptable so has to leave the next day our Person we worked with on the rental<br/>Was great and would recommend you rent from them they were great and so was the place

Nice Stay at Convenient Location
We spent 2-1/2 weeks at this property. There were some good and some not so good. <br/><br/>On the positive side, it is conveniently located, few blocks from the beach and Kalakaua ave, close to Kapahulu making getting out of Waikiki easy, lots of places to dine and shop near by. The unit itself was clean and comfortable. Partial view of the ocean and diamond head from the balcony was nice. <br/><br/>On not so good, there was renovation going on in the entire building - beat up hall way, elevator, construction material everywhere, noisy and dusty. One day we lost water for the entire day. Specific to the unit itself - It is very dark. Only had couple of dim bedside lamps in the bedroom and one dim floor lamp and desk lamp in the living room area. Overhead light in the kitchen was also low light and hardly lit the place at night. Also shower/tub drain was super slow, standing water reached above our ankles. Luckily we were able to clear it ourselves using liquid plumber.<br/><br/>Our biggest issue was/is the non-responsiveness of the property owner/manager. We reached out to them 3 times prior to our trip with questions and received ZERO response. We managed fine without getting answers or needing to talk to them but it was very disconcerting to think that if we had ran into any serious issues while we were there we would not get any help.

Good location
Overall a good experience. The place was comfortable and close to shopping and restaurants. It wasn't completely clean. There was half eaten food on the table when we arrived. And the floor was not clean. Not a big deal for us to clean up but I wonder why I paid the cleaning fee. All in all a nice place

Great condo.
We enjoyed this condo. Big enough for 3 adults. Clean, with comfy beds. Pullout bed was comfy after we found the memory foam mattress in the closet. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pans, but had to buy seasoning for our food. No big deal. The Wi-Fi code does not work for this condo, but we did find one that did. Overall, we enjoyed the condo, short walk to everywhere and we would recommend staying here

Clean and close to Waikiki Beach
Easy access to everything close to Waikiki. Furniture is dated but still ok. Having parking included is a plus. Apartment comes with all you need in the bathroom. Kitchen should have some new utensils and pots. The ones that are there are not ok. Following instructions on the app make everything easy to get in and out. We left a board there for the next guests, there was just a very tiny one. We will be back. THANK YOU

Nice property
This was a very nice condominium, great location, Secure building with easy access and having a parking spot was nice. I’m giving it a five star review however there are some things that need to be updated. The kitchen and bathroom appear to have been recently renovated and are very nice. The living room and bedroom are dark, needs new updated LED light fixtures and furniture and curtains to brighten up the place at night.

Love Alii Beach rentals Returned back to them a few times .
Aloha ,Lovely Near the beach location in Spacious Studio Room in the Waikiki Sunset Hotel ,with free parking included .They are quick to help in response to email concerns ,and overall we really enjoyed our stay ,there were a couple of minor issues which we emailed at the start of our vacation which the responded too quickly .The studio has everything you need to make you feel Home from Home ,Prices have risen since we checked on this particular Studio but look forward to Visiting Hawaii end of year again as we now nee 19 times .Mahola Nuii Loa .

A great place to stay in the heart of Waikiki!
This place is very clean and it had just about everything we needed. We found ourselves hanging out on the balcony every chance we had to enjoy the view. My family and I liked staying there very much and can’t wait to return. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant and enjoyable!

Great location
This place was just as advertised. The location was great. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony and even though we were a block from the beach we could still see the ocean and diamond head. Would definitely stay here again.

Big City Beach Vacation
Outanding, the unit was top shelf! Good value. the best thing about the unit was location, location and did I mention the location. the location was great , we walked to beach and enjoyed the city. Also, it was very easy to leave the city to see natural cites.

Clean, comfortable, great location
Condo was very clean, quiet, comfortable, affordable and had a wonderful location (4 minute walk to the beach). There were beach towels, chairs, all kitchen appliances and utensils needed. Coin operated laundry at the end of the hall.

Waikiki Sunset Partial Ocean 1 BDR on the 21st Floor
The photo of the property is mostly accurate. There are a few maintenance issues with this condo but overall it was fine for a week's stay. A big plus is the rent includes parking, which is a big deal in this area. The location is good if you are looking for a place to hang out in Waikiki. Most everything is within walking distance. Driving in Honolulu can be a nightmare so I would walk or Uber if needed for short distances. The elevators are pretty slow, but there are 3 of them.The staff at this location were neither friendly or unfriendly. They don't really go out of their way to make you feel welcome, but they aren't rude either. Just so-so. The parking lot attendants were however quite nice. Overall, I'd give this unit a B+.

Nice place
This property was extremely clean. No dust or dirt in the corners, no bugs, well taken care of. The unit is starting to show some wear on the furniture and cabinets, but everything was still very comfortable, clean, and in overall good shape. The building itself could use some updating. New carpet in the halls would do so much for the property. It wasnt dirty, just worn. The pool was great, parking was great. The elevators are very slow, and there always seemed to be one down for servicing. The location was great and the view was wonderful for being a few blocks off the beach. The only complaint about the view was the buildings around this building. They are pretty worn down, but other than that they were fine. Close proximity to restaurants and the beach. This property was a great value. I would definitely stay here again.

A lovely stay
We had a lovely stay in Honolulu. We appreciated the free parking and WiFi (although the instructions for accessing the WiFi were completely wrong). Fortunately we located the correct information somewhere else. <br/>The only frustrating issue was the badly leaking shower hose. No one is in the on site office until 8am so we took rather challenging showers our first night....lots of water everywhere. I do have to say that Mike was great about getting what he needed and fixing the problem so our second night showers were MUCH better.<br/>I liked the location (near the zoo) and the views of Diamond Head and the limited view of the ocean and the unit as a whole. Very relaxing.<br/>I think the only other issue was the excessive price charged for a lost key card. In all of the hundreds of condos we have stayed in, I have never been charged even a tiny "lost card fee". This issue is a deal breaker for staying here again.

Awesome
We were really satisfied with the rental and the cleanliness. We liked having 4 water bottles on our arrival in the fridge. Everything was perfect. The building is really clean and well maintained. The BBQ area was great and also really clean. The bed was super comfortable. There is 2 beach chairs and a small cooler witch was great to have. A quick 5 minute walk to the beach and also great to have free parking.

Our Hawaii Vacation
We enjoyed our stay at the Waikiki Sunset condo. It was just a 4 - 6 minute walk right down to the beach so location was great, especially for the money. I would have rather stayed on the beach but that would have probably been 3x's the money. The parking was great having the price included in my overall price. The only thing I was kind of disappointed in was the condition of the condo was needing updated. The rugs on the floor were worn around the edges making them fray, the table in the kitchen was getting pretty worn, walls needed more decor they were pretty plain. The photos makes this condo look larger than it is. As far as the view it is pretty decent. There are two little dumps under the balcony that are like three to four story apartments and the tall condo that you don't see in the photos is pretty run down. There will probably be people that think I am picky but they ask for a review so this is it.

Location location, location
This property boasts a great location. It is close enough to walk to the beach, night life and shopping yet off the main roads. The condo could be updated a bit but is is very comfortable.

AMAZING
I can't say enough good things about our stay here - it was like having a HOME in waikiki to come back to. We felt so comfortable, safe, secure, and relaxed here. Everything is just as it looks in the photos, we never had any issues while we stayed there for a whole month. The one time we had an issue with the plumbing they sent someone out that day to fix it. They are an amazing company and I would recommend staying here to anyone. Also, the location was perfect. I seriously cannot recommend this enough.

Waikiki sunset
Very pleasant stay here. It looks just like the pictures. We loved the quiet location that is just a quick walk to the beach. Lots of towels and the bedding is good quality . The bed is comfy too. We love the big kitchen and all the cooking gear. All in all we would definitly return to this lovely condo.

Adequate
Stayed 32 days Sept and Oct 2015.<br/><br/> We have stayed at the Waikiki Sunset numerous times in the past and knew what to expect, we prefer the Diamond Head end of Waikiki as it is a little quieter and closer to the beach areas we prefer and having the natural gas BBQ grills at the Sunset are wonderful!<br/><br/> The unit 2106 itself is adequate, all rooms ending in “04” or “06” are located directly behind the elevators and if you’re a light sleeper may find the elevator noise annoying. We normally don’t use the air conditioner when we sleep but found we had to use it here with the fan on low at night to mask the elevator sounds.<br/><br/> The unit had all the necessary requirements for our stay, and the included parking stall was a “bonus”. We normally have had to purchase cookware or knives at other rental units in the past but were very pleased with the quality and quantity of kitchen amenities. <br/><br/> Cleanliness was the only negative, probably why the cleaning fees are lower than most rentals. The dust bunnies and items residing under the chesterfield were scary; when we lifted the rugs for vacuuming I’m sure they hadn’t seen the light of day for months. The shower curtain is covered in black mould anywhere it touches the tub and it took a good five to ten minutes for the shower water to drain. ( note : Plumbing is an issue at all rentals in Waikiki, all of these buildings were constructed in the 70’s and with the amount of sand going down those drains it’s no wonder)<br/><br/> Overall, the unit is adequate. We would definitely not hesitate to book it again<br/>

Waikiki on the 21st floor
We arrived at the door of the apt. and the code did not open the door. We called the number and got a recording. Called secondary number and got maintenance guy to give us the right code. The code had been changed the day before and no effort was made to communicate the change in code to US! A phone call should have been made to let us know of this change. The unit was very satisfactory but not great. Next time, provide paper napkins. Being on the 21st floor made getting in and out of the property a constant very time consuming process.

Overall sounds like a pleasant stay and we can see where you may have been frustrated. Return Customer Not As Happy
We have stayed in this unit in the past and really enjoyed it, this time it was clear it needed some TLC. Couch is worn down, kitchen items are sparse (2 bowls), and made a maintenance request for a clogged drain that took several days for a response. They can do better and probably will (I'm hopeful).

Great alternative to a hotel for a family stay
We had an amazing time for our stay in Waikiki and the accommodations were excellent. We were close enough to the water to see the sunset daily over the ocean, the sleeping accommodations were great, and there were plenty of towels and linens were fresh to make us feel like we were in a hotel. This is a great place to stay and we would love to do it again.

Great Location
Two blocks away from the beach. I would stay there again! The only issue I had was the pull out couch. Mattress was bad and half way through my stay it wouldn't close. Kept it open the rest of the stay.

Christmas in Waikiki
This was our first time to Hawaii and we absolutely loved this unit! It was in a great location and while the building appears to be older, this unit is very modern. We had an issue with our pass not working (to allow access to the building from the parking garage), but other than that everything was as described online. The views from the balcony and bedroom window was awesome! I would definitely stay in this unit again.

Great place to stay
My son and a friend stayed here while visiting family in oahu and was very happy with the place. It looks exactly as the picture. The place was clean and close to everything we wanted. I would definitely book again this unit.

Perfect Location / Perfect Condo / Perfect Stay
We had a wonderful stay at this condo in Hawaii. The location was perfect! We have absolutely no complaints as we were impressed and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Great location
We stayed for 8 days in this very centrally located condo which included a parking pass and wifi. We chose this unit as we were traveling with our teenage daughter and we wanted a true bedroom with a wall.. Not an accordian wall. A bathroom that did not have to be accessed through the bedroom. Two televisions so when at the condo we were not stuck watching disney the entire time. A stove and refrigerator so we could do breakfast and lunches at the condo(nearby safeway). This unit checked all those boxes!<br/>The only negative was a very slow bathtub drain.. Had read reviews of the same and prepared with older building but would have to wait 30 or more minutes between showers unless you wanted to stand in water.<br/>The app and check in information made our entry very smooth. Asked a question of propert management and received a quick reply.<br/>We would stay here again if have the opportunity to be back to Hawaii.

A wonderful stay in the heart of Waikiki!
Overall, the rental experience was great. Thee condo looked very similar to the pictures and was clean. Only thing was that the shower curtain was moldy when we arrived. I called maintenance the very next morning and they sent someone to fix it within a few hours. Their maintenance service was excellent and the replacement made our stay much more enjoyable. Free parking was also very convenient for us! Only thing missing from this condo is a gy for exercising! I would recommend this condo to family and friends.

Great Value/Great View - Loved It!
Our family (parents & 2 older daughters) stayed in this unit for 8 nights & loved everything about it! The location was perfect - we were able to shop &/or enjoy the beach any time, the little grocery store/mart on the 5th floor came in handy a few times, the laundry facility & pool were very convenient & the parking was ideal. We only heard noise a few times but it didn't last long & wasn't problematic. Everything went just as described - instructions were clear & we really had no problems whatsoever. Even the hide-a-bed was comfortable - our girls slept great & didn't complain once! The only negative comment I could make would be that 2 of the beach chairs should really be thrown away as they were old & broken (we found another one under the bed the day we were leaving) & it could've been a little cleaner (I tend to be meticulous about this though & it was mostly the front of the stove & the pictures & mirrors that could've been cleaned a little better. The tub/shower could've been a little cleaner also & the shower curtain rod was a bit rusted, but the towels were nice quality & very clean. All things considered this was a GREAT value & we all agreed we loved it & would definitely stay here again.

Clean & Comfortable
We enjoyed our stay at the Waikiki Sunset 2106, and we found it to be well cared-for, clean, organized and comfortable. It had everything we needed for our short 4-day trip. We enjoyed the view over the beach and the location was perfect for us. Free parking was important and very much appreciated. Two small imperfections: 1) the shower drain was plugged, but a plumber came and resolved it the same day we informed management about this, and 2)while I slept well, it felt as if the mattress was possibly reaching the end of its life. Both were insignificant issues, but worth noting.

Hawaiian Holiday
We loved our condo at the Waikiki Sunset. It was perfectly located within walking distance of the beach, shops and zoo. It was great to have the fee for parking included. The condo was well equipped for cooking and we did eat in quite a lot. It worked well for us to connect with our adult daughter who lives far away from us. We were surprised to find two lovely beach chairs under the bed - but unfortunately did not see them until the last day when we were about to check out! We had rented one for the day from the mini mart in the building. We did not use the pool or lounge and BBQ area.

Perfect For Us
This is our second time to stay for a week (in this exact same unit). I'll give the overall experience an A-. I have to take a few points away - less than perfect ... Only because the Parking Attendant (a dork - not very bright) would not hand back the parking pass as I attempted to exit the parking garage. She stated the pass was expired, when clearly, the pass was valid - within the date range. On the flip side - the Property Managers quickly fixed the problem while we were out. If that's the worst thing that happened over the entire week, then I'd consider it a good and positive experience overall. The managers were very responsive, most everything went well! I'll return!

Nice, clean vacation spot
Property pictures are accurate. We enjoyed 4 nights here for visiting Honolulu/Waikiki/Pearl Harbor. central location close to safeway, beach and all sites. Nice view of Diamond Head and Ocean. Parking pass was a bonus and made things hasslefree. Alli was excellent to deal with. Very clean unit. Starting to show a little wear in places.

Great unit!
Condo is great! Parking instructions could be clearer. Must take ticket from machine upon entering garage. When leaving must place ticket in machine to hear "ticket not paid" and then present paper ticket with parking pass to parking attendant in booth. 2 green and 1 red swipe cards however only 1 needed to access gate from garage to elevator. Small annoyances easily forgotten about once you discover the view and accessibility of the condo! Would definitely stay here again!

Waikiki Sunset a Wonderful Stay
This was a great place to stay and in a convenient location and the picture matches the photo. Alli'i are very professional and always respond to any queries/issues that may arise. They go above and beyond. <br/><br/>The building has wear and tear and the lifts take forever but these are issues that are insignificant when you are in holiday mode and these issues are not in their control. The building is holding up well for the number of people it accommodates 24/7 a week.<br/><br/>I can't recommend leasing through Alli'i enough they are fantastic.

Waikiki Beauty
Located off the main streets, this rental is perfect for those that like less action. The room was ample, internet connection was terrific and the place was usually quiet at night. The only concerns we had were length of time to get an elevator (up to 10+ minutes some days), and no cleaning supplies or condiments left in the place. We were there for two weeks and it meant having to purchase additional goods just to maintain basic cleanliness. Similarly, most places come with spices and such. Not a thing was left so again additional expenses.

May Trip to Waikiki
We very much enjoyed our stay at the condo. Good location, very neat and clean, and well equiped too. A couple comments: the sliding glass door is very hard to close and the lock doesn’t work. The elevators were broken several times during our stay which caused long waits to get from floor to floor. <br/><br/>We would stay again in the future.

great location
We were very happy with our stay at the sunset. Great location, just a few blocks from beach and close to all shopping, restaurants and Kalakua Ave. The view was great, loved the floor to ceiling windows. King size bed, free long distance and free parking were great perks that went with this condo. This was our seventh trip to waikiki and our first time renting a condo there. Loved the condo and will definately stay here again.

Perfect, Except Floor Tiles Need Deep Cleaning
This is a great property in every way. The amenities are comprehensive. For example the kitchen has lots of utensils and even condiments if you plan to cook. Two hi-def TVs, if you like to watch TV in bed. Great shower arrangement, though there's a tub. The views OK, but don't expect to see much of Diamond Head. The only negative was the cleanliness of the tiles, which wouldn't be easy to pickup on for the cleaning crew, unless you walked around for a day in bare feet. I began to notice how soiled my feet were and first thought it was from wearing slippers outside, but found I actually was picking it up off the tiles. They need to be given a thorough scrub. Other than that, which is not major, a perfect rental.

Our week in paradise
Great location on quiet side of the beach, bus stop nearby and access to restaurants. The condo has a wonderful view of Diamondhead, as well as beach view. The condo description was accurate. Towels, bedding and kitchen equipment were of good quality. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this unit to others. I would suggest that the shower grout be cleaned as well as the flooring grout.

Family Trip to Waikiki
Overall this was an awesome place to stay for our trip to Waikiki. My 73 year old mom, my 6 year old daughter and I came for a wedding and I really wanted to find a place to call "home" rather than a hotel room, so we could have a little space and a kitchen. This place was perfect: great location, quiet, close to shopping and beach, awesome views, clean, spacious, beach equipment provided was wonderful. I wish we had booked this place for the whole week right from the start (our next condo was lacking....). We just had a small mishap when arriving - the cleaners had misplaced the parking pass and swipe cards so I had to call the emergency line. Shannon with Alii returned my call right away and was on our doorstep within 10 minutes working on a resolution. Turns out the new cleaner put the passes in the wrong spot, and all was back to normal. The hiccup was smoothed over by Shannon's impeccable customer service! I will definitely stay here on my next trip and recommend to our friends who travel to Oahu!<br/>

Liked the quality of the rental but not the location
You are not going to get quiet in the hotels within Waikiki but that has nothing to do with the professionalism and cleanliness of this property. I did like the included parking which was convenient.

Great location but unresponsive guest services
Property was nice and also close to the beach. However, would not stay there again. We had issues with our security key cards not working and there was no plug for the bathtub, which we needed. We played phone tag with guest services for days and ultimately never heard back - never got our requests addressed before we checked out.

Great value!
I would recommend this condo. It was very clean and the furnishings very comfortable. It was like home away from home. The laundry facilities down the hall was very convenient to do a load of laundry. Although I did not make use of the amenities, it was nice to know that the pool was available. Location was very convenient to the Safeway, the beaches, and restaurants....all were within walking distance.<br/><br/>The rental company and staff were very professional and accommodate all of our requests.

Convenient stay

Almost a hit
The apartment itself was very nice. Great location as well. The building, though, is pretty rundown and offers little in the way of amenities. And the sofa bed was in HORRIBLE shape. It desperately needs fixing. In the end, we put the mattress on the floor and it was much more comfortable. Otherwise very satisfied.

Nice place, good location but nothing spectacular. Kitchen is a part of living room with limited supplies. Would have been nice to have simple things like coffee filters. Very noisy with windows open. Beach tools broken (2 broken chairs, broken boogie board). No hooks for anything (bathroom towels). Lacks many of the things I was expecting.

Well worth the money, but you are far from alone.
VERY busy hotel that caters to both live in guests as well as holiday apartment stayers and also hotel guests as well, so there are a LOT of comings and goings. Plus if you are a smoker, you are required to go out the front of the building for a smoke, which is fine as the entire place is non smoking but you sometimes walk through a cloud of smoke near the front door if a lot of people are out there at the same time. Overall, a great place to stay for the money.

Great stay at a comfortable condo
Had a great stay. Condo is updated and very comfortable. Had an issue with the access card fob, but management was quick to respond and problem resolved next day. Condo is clean and had a pretty good "partial ocean view". Perfect for my wife and I. She loved the location being just at the end of the "strip". We will stay here again for sure next year.

Four stars (and few asterisks)
Had a very nice stay. We were impressed with the renovated kitchen and bathroom, the overall cleanliness and the partial view of the ocean from the balcony.<br/><br/>There were a few little things that could stand improvement. During reservation process, they asked for a check vs. a credit card (but accommodate them after a few conversations). When we arrived, we found the pillowcases hadn't been changed, and that there was a large tropical bird poop on our bedspread! However, we called the maintenance number, and they brought new pillowcases within the hour (never got a new bedspread, however).<br/><br/>Beautiful in the morning and evening, but during the day the sun shines hot into the place, and we had to draw the curtains to stay cool. The kitchen had scant supplies, but several of the teflon pans were worn through. We bought our own coffee filters, olive oil, salt (they had pepper). Wouldn't hurt if they replaced the corroded bath vents and shower rod. And the A/C in the bedroom blows directly on the bed—if you're not careful, you may wake up with a sore neck or throat.<br/><br/>But beyond the details, the place is a great value, not far from the beach, and I would definitely stay there again.

Great stay!
My entire experience from making my reservation to checking out of the condo was awesome and super easy. The condo was perfect for my husband and I. We both are originally from Oahu so we knew that we wanted to stay at the end of the much busy strip. The "quiet" end! It's another plus that Ali'i provides free parking. Hotel parking downtown can run between $15-$30 per night!!<br/><br/>When we got to the condo at 3:45pm, our room was not ready yet. We could hear someone vacuuming and the TV was on when we walked up to the door. I knew we could not check-in 'til after 3:30pm, so we made sure not to arrive before then. As I was about to call the Ali'i office, a young lady walked out holding a small bag of garbage and said, "Oh you're here already!", and she needed 10 more minutes to finish up. At this point it was already passed 4pm. She was very polite and apologized, we told her it was fine, so we just sat on the couch in front of the elevators with our luggages until she was done. The condo was pretty clean and smelled fresh, but she missed cleaning the stove top and oven.<br/><br/>Overall, our stay was close to perfect. The location is ideal and a very short walk to Kalakaua, which is awesome for walking at night.<br/>

I would gladly rent this unit again. It was close to everything we needed. Short walk to the beach.Public transportation 100 meters away. No need for a car unless you want to go to the north shore. But if you did rent a car parking is provided which can be difficult to otherwise find there. We took the bus to Hanamau Bay, Ala Moana, and Diamond Head. Walked to the zoo which the kids enjoyed also. <br/> Would have liked a bit of a later check out time..10:30 is pretty early especially since we had a later flight.<br/> The door in the main bedroom was hard to close as it dragged against the rug (a minor maintenance thing-thus the 4 instead of 5 stars there). Nice to have the kitchen which was adequately equipped and really appreciated the free wi-fi and phone usage. Two tv's kept the kids busy while making dinner or lunch. Nice views of the ocean from the Lanai. I would rent from Alii Beach rentals again.

A great place to stay!
Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay @ Waikiki Sunset 2106. The property was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We recommend this property for family of 2 or 4. The property was walking distance to Waikiki Beach and shopping along the beach. We really enjoyed our stay and would ask for this property again if we returned to Hawaii.

Great stay
Alii rentals are amazing, the communication could not be faulted and everything flowed seamlessly. The apartment itself is good value for what you pay, it is definitely not 5 star and the building itself could do with a refurb but iit is close to the action and for us was just a stopover, so is good value for the amount charged per night.

Perfect for the Family
The apartment is in a great location, quite near to the beach, Food Pantry, public transport but not too busy right in the middle of Waikiki. We found the apartment to be very clean and comfortable for our family of four. The view was good and free parking was great because we hired a car for a week. Alii Beach Rentals was great to deal with and having an apartment was fantastic as we stayed for three weeks and had everything we needed. We will definitely stay there again.

Vacation--Waikiki Sunset-January 25-February 26/15
Our rental experience was very good. We had a few issues withe the condo but these issues were looked after by management the same day. However, management has to visit the condo and do a kitchen inventory to make certain all utensils are there and useable for long term renters. ie-Large Teflon frying pan unhealthy for cooking. Lack of utensils for cleaning barbeque outside.

great vacation
overall we were very happy with our stay at the Waikiki Sunset unit 2106. It was clean and neat, a nice view, and in the building we wanted. There kitchen was equipped enough to suit our needs. There is a coffee maker, with filters, and blender. There were pots and pans, but we didn't use them. There were lots of towels, including beach towels, and the bed was very comfortable, although the pull out was less so. There wasn't a dresser, which seemed odd, but there are a few drawers in the closet organizer. The pool is small, and only gets morning sun, but we are beach goers so didn't care about that. The building has a sauna, but we didn't use that.

Wonderful Holiday!
Thank you for a wonderful time in Honolulu. The condo was beautiful, very clean and comfortable. We loved being able to have a kitchen so we could have breakfast and relax. Perfect rental unit in Waikiki !
Enjoyed the rental unit for many reasons. Great location being close to everything, yet closer to the canal and the zoo so dramatically quieter than other areas. Great view of Diamond Head, as well as nice view of the ocean, could watch surfers from our deck. Size of unit was great for family of four. Well equipped, although a few items could do with replacement as were well used. Nicely decorated with recent renovation. Full sized appliances allowed for plenty of groceries to be stored and readily available for our hungry active family. Ate in the condo most meals which saved expensive restaurant costs. Also used the bbq on the pool level which was enjoyable. Overall, we were very pleased and would definitely recommend this unit.

Hawaii vacation July 2015
The pictures on line advertising the condo unit were deceiving in that they made the unit appear newer and larger than it really was. The unit was functional and clean, but it was older than expected. The management company for Alii were fine but the people who work at the building are not. My wife received a perishable gift while we were there and we were not notified that it was downstairs until 3 or 4 days after it was delivered to the building. The only way we knew it was there the mgt. co. called us. No one from downstairs notified us.

Clean, fresh, comfortable. Good value for money.
We have spent 8 nights in May 2015 in 2106 Waikiki. Overall impression was much higher than anticipated. Freshly remodeled, clean, all appliances are in good working condition. AC works just fine. It wasn't mentioned in prospect but there is an iron and iron table available. Hotel hallways are kind of outdated and bit smelly but inside condo everything is fresh and nice. We like tiled floor (hate carpet). Parking is include and it was deal maker for us. On arrival leave the car outside and go upstairs and pick up parking pass and magnetic card. Parking pass then you put on the dash. Magnetic card you need to get in the hotel from garage. Every time you enter the garage you need push the button and take a ticket. Don't worry you don't have to pay anything. You just need it to give it to attendant when leaving the garage.<br/>There is plenty of towels don't need to bring your own. Safeway is 5 min drive. Lots of restaurants around. All restaurants we tried were very good. Go for local fish... delicious...<br/>

Great Waikiki Location & Home Away from Home
All in all was a great unit and location. We appreciated the free and easy parking and easy entrance/exit to Waikiki - best location by far! The unit had all the ameneities we needed and then some. Plenty of beach chairs, towels, noodles, kitchen items, etc. Pictures are accurate. Nicely remodeled unit. The whole building could use a face lift - halls are old/dirty and worn but the unit was fresh and clean. Property management company was helpful and responsive when plumbing issues occurred. Appreciated the wealth of information on their customer portal. Just wish they wouldn't send so many spam emails to download their mobile app.

We loved our condo at the Waikiki Sunset. It was perfectly located within walking distance of the beach, shops and zoo. It was great to have the fee for parking included. The condo was well equipped for cooking and we did eat in quite a lot. It worked well for us to connect with our adult daughter who lives far away from us. We were surprised to find two lovely beach chairs under the bed - but unfortunately did not see them until the last day when we were about to check out! We had rented one for the day from the mini mart in the building. We did not use the pool or lounge and BBQ area.

We enjoyed our stay at the Waikiki Sunset 2106, and we found it to be well cared-for, clean, organized and comfortable. It had everything we needed for our short 4-day trip. We enjoyed the view over the beach and the location was perfect for us. Free parking was important and very much appreciated. Two small imperfections: 1) the shower drain was plugged, but a plumber came and resolved it the same day we informed management about this, and 2)while I slept well, it felt as if the mattress was possibly reaching the end of its life. Both were insignificant issues, but worth noting.

Our family (parents & 2 older daughters) stayed in this unit for 8 nights & loved everything about it! The location was perfect - we were able to shop &/or enjoy the beach any time, the little grocery store/mart on the 5th floor came in handy a few times, the laundry facility & pool were very convenient & the parking was ideal. We only heard noise a few times but it didn't last long & wasn't problematic. Everything went just as described - instructions were clear & we really had no problems whatsoever. Even the hide-a-bed was comfortable - our girls slept great & didn't complain once! The only negative comment I could make would be that 2 of the beach chairs should really be thrown away as they were old & broken (we found another one under the bed the day we were leaving) & it could've been a little cleaner (I tend to be meticulous about this though & it was mostly the front of the stove & the pictures & mirrors that could've been cleaned a little better. This was our first time to Hawaii and we absolutely loved this unit! It was in a great location and while the building appears to be older, this unit is very modern. We had an issue with our pass not working (to allow access to the building from the parking garage), but other than that everything was as described online. The views from the balcony and bedroom window was awesome! I would definitely stay in this unit again.

Overall, the rental experience was great. Thee condo looked very similar to the pictures and was clean. Only thing was that the shower curtain was moldy when we arrived. I called maintenance the very next morning and they sent someone to fix it within a few hours. Their maintenance service was excellent and the replacement made our stay much more enjoyable. Free parking was also very convenient for us! Only thing missing from this condo is a gy for exercising! I would recommend this condo to family and friends.

We stayed for 8 days in this very centrally located condo which included a parking pass and wifi. We chose this unit as we were traveling with our teenage daughter and we wanted a true bedroom with a wall.. Not an accordian wall. A bathroom that did not have to be accessed through the bedroom. Two televisions so when at the condo we were not stuck watching disney the entire time. A stove and refrigerator so we could do breakfast and lunches at the condo(nearby safeway). This unit checked all those boxes!<br/>The only negative was a very slow bathtub drain.. Had read reviews of the same and prepared with older building but would have to wait 30 or more minutes between showers unless you wanted to stand in water.<br/>The app and check in information made our entry very smooth. Asked a question of propert management and received a quick reply.<br/>We would stay here again if have the opportunity to be back to Hawaii.

We arrived at the door of the apt. and the code did not open the door. We called the number and got a recording. Called secondary number and got maintenance guy to give us the right code. The code had been changed the day before and no effort was made to communicate the change in code to US! A phone call should have been made to let us know of this change. The unit was very satisfactory but not great. Next time, provide paper napkins. Being on the 21st floor made getting in and out of the property a constant very time consuming process.

We have stayed in this unit in the past and really enjoyed it, this time it was clear it needed some TLC. Couch is worn down, kitchen items are sparse (2 bowls), and made a maintenance request for a clogged drain that took several days for a response. They can do better and probably will (I'm hopeful).

We had an amazing time for our stay in Waikiki and the accommodations were excellent. We were close enough to the water to see the sunset daily over the ocean, the sleeping accommodations were great, and there were plenty of towels and linens were fresh to make us feel like we were in a hotel. Very pleasant stay here. It looks just like the pictures. We loved the quiet location that is just a quick walk to the beach. Lots of towels and the bedding is good quality . The bed is comfy too. Stayed 32 days Sept and Oct 2015.<br/><br/> We have stayed at the Waikiki Sunset numerous times in the past and knew what to expect, we prefer the Diamond Head end of Waikiki as it is a little quieter and closer to the beach areas we prefer and having the natural gas BBQ grills at the Sunset are wonderful!<br/><br/> The unit 2106 itself is adequate, all rooms ending in “04” or “06” are located directly behind the elevators and if you’re a light sleeper may find the elevator noise annoying. We normally don’t use the air conditioner when we sleep but found we had to use it here with the fan on low at night to mask the elevator sounds.<br/><br/> The unit had all the necessary requirements for our stay, and the included parking stall was a “bonus”. We normally have had to purchase cookware or knives at other rental units in the past but were very pleased with the quality and quantity of kitchen amenities. <br/><br/> Cleanliness was the only negative, probably why the cleaning fees are lower than most rentals. My entire experience from making my reservation to checking out of the condo was awesome and super easy. The condo was perfect for my husband and I. We both are originally from Oahu so we knew that we wanted to stay at the end of the much busy strip. The "quiet" end! It's another plus that Ali'i provides free parking. Hotel parking downtown can run between $15-$30 per night!!<br/><br/>When we got to the condo at 3:45pm, our room was not ready yet. We could hear someone vacuuming and the TV was on when we walked up to the door. I knew we could not check-in 'til after 3:30pm, so we made sure not to arrive before then. As I was about to call the Ali'i office, a young lady walked out holding a small bag of garbage and said, "Oh you're here already!", and she needed 10 more minutes to finish up. At this point it was already passed 4pm. She was very polite and apologized, we told her it was fine, so we just sat on the couch in front of the elevators with our luggages until she was done. I would recommend this condo. It was very clean and the furnishings very comfortable. It was like home away from home. The laundry facilities down the hall was very convenient to do a load of laundry. Although I did not make use of the amenities, it was nice to know that the pool was available. Location was very convenient to the Safeway, the beaches, and restaurants....all were within walking distance.<br/><br/>The rental company and staff were very professional and accommodate all of our requests.

Nice place, good location but nothing spectacular. Kitchen is a part of living room with limited supplies. Would have been nice to have simple things like coffee filters. Very noisy with windows open. Beach tools broken (2 broken chairs, broken boogie board). No hooks for anything (bathroom towels). Lacks many of the things I was expecting.

Had a very nice stay. We were impressed with the renovated kitchen and bathroom, the overall cleanliness and the partial view of the ocean from the balcony.<br/><br/>There were a few little things that could stand improvement. During reservation process, they asked for a check vs. a credit card (but accommodate them after a few conversations). When we arrived, we found the pillowcases hadn't been changed, and that there was a large tropical bird poop on our bedspread! However, we called the maintenance number, and they brought new pillowcases within the hour (never got a new bedspread, however).<br/><br/>Beautiful in the morning and evening, but during the day the sun shines hot into the place, and we had to draw the curtains to stay cool. The kitchen had scant supplies, but several of the teflon pans were worn through. We bought our own coffee filters, olive oil, salt (they had pepper). VERY busy hotel that caters to both live in guests as well as holiday apartment stayers and also hotel guests as well, so there are a LOT of comings and goings. Plus if you are a smoker, you are required to go out the front of the building for a smoke, which is fine as the entire place is non smoking but you sometimes walk through a cloud of smoke near the front door if a lot of people are out there at the same time. Overall, a great place to stay for the money.

Had a great stay. Condo is updated and very comfortable. Had an issue with the access card fob, but management was quick to respond and problem resolved next day. Condo is clean and had a pretty good "partial ocean view". Perfect for my wife and I. She loved the location being just at the end of the "strip". We will stay here again for sure next year.

You are not going to get quiet in the hotels within Waikiki but that has nothing to do with the professionalism and cleanliness of this property. I did like the included parking which was convenient.

We had a wonderful time on Oahu. The location of the condo was very convenient whether we wanted to walk or drive or be picked up by a tour company. The condo was clean and met our needs for what we wanted to do. I love Hawaii!! It was my husband and daughter's first trip and my 3rd and definitely not our last!

This is a great property in every way. The amenities are comprehensive. For example the kitchen has lots of utensils and even condiments if you plan to cook. Two hi-def TVs, if you like to watch TV in bed. Great shower arrangement, though there's a tub. The views OK, but don't expect to see much of Diamond Head. The only negative was the cleanliness of the tiles, which wouldn't be easy to pickup on for the cleaning crew, unless you walked around for a day in bare feet. I began to notice how soiled my feet were and first thought it was from wearing slippers outside, but found I actually was picking it up off the tiles. They need to be given a thorough scrub. Other than that, which is not major, a perfect rental.

Great stay in a convenient location. Room included beach and picnic equipment and wifi. The parking instructions were slightly inaccurate and the key card from the parking garage to the elevators did not work, but overall a great place to stay.

The apartment itself was very nice. Great location as well. The building, though, is pretty rundown and offers little in the way of amenities. And the sofa bed was in HORRIBLE shape. It desperately needs fixing. In the end, we put the mattress on the floor and it was much more comfortable. Otherwise very satisfied.

Property was nice and also close to the beach. However, would not stay there again. We had issues with our security key cards not working and there was no plug for the bathtub, which we needed. We played phone tag with guest services for days and ultimately never heard back - never got our requests addressed before we checked out.

We were very happy with our stay at the sunset. Great location, just a few blocks from beach and close to all shopping, restaurants and Kalakua Ave. The view was great, loved the floor to ceiling windows. King size bed, free long distance and free parking were great perks that went with this condo. This was our seventh trip to waikiki and our first time renting a condo there. Loved the condo and will definately stay here again.

Overall this was an awesome place to stay for our trip to Waikiki. My 73 year old mom, my 6 year old daughter and I came for a wedding and I really wanted to find a place to call "home" rather than a hotel room, so we could have a little space and a kitchen. This place was perfect: great location, quiet, close to shopping and beach, awesome views, clean, spacious, beach equipment provided was wonderful. I wish we had booked this place for the whole week right from the start (our next condo was lacking....). We just had a small mishap when arriving - the cleaners had misplaced the parking pass and swipe cards so I had to call the emergency line. Shannon with Alii returned my call right away and was on our doorstep within 10 minutes working on a resolution. Turns out the new cleaner put the passes in the wrong spot, and all was back to normal. The hiccup was smoothed over by Shannon's impeccable customer service! I will definitely stay here on my next trip and recommend to our friends who travel to Oahu!<br/>

Great location on quiet side of the beach, bus stop nearby and access to restaurants. The condo has a wonderful view of Diamondhead, as well as beach view. The condo description was accurate. Towels, bedding and kitchen equipment were of good quality. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this unit to others. I would suggest that the shower grout be cleaned as well as the flooring grout.

This condo was ideally located for our family with a small child.We would stay here again, the condo had enough space for children to play inside. Parking gargage always had a lot of spaces, nice to have laundry on our floor and pool had a beautiful view of diamond head!

My Fiance and I stayed at this rental for a week in Sept. This property was conveniently located a 5 minute walk to beautiful Waikiki beach, I was able to see the Sunset, Kapiolani park and Diamond head from my balcony. This rental was comfortably furnished, well cleaned, the building has a computer lounge that came in handy during my stay and a small gift shop on one of the lower floors. Parking was included and anyone who visited Waikiki knows this is important to have, especially if you are staying awhile. Overall we were very happy with our stay, we recommend this rental for anyone wanting a great value on a nice property. <br/>-Aloha

Overall condo lived up to photos and description. Did not use pool area, water was cold and most of the day in shade where pool is located. But beach area is quite close so really does not matter. Having a kitchen really helps keeping down expense and nice to cook breakfast without going out every morning. Since the afternoon sun hits the condo some type of shades that would still give a partial view would be nice rather than full curtain.

Beautiful condo in a very convenient location. View was great. This is the quiet end of Waikiki. Close to Waikiki Beach and close to inexpensive restaurants on Kapahulu road. Parking was in the on-site garage and there was always plenty of space. Glad they they supplied beach towels and had wifi. Only suggestions are to supply dish washing sponge, large garbage bags for trash chute, and a bar of bath soap.

We enjoyed this condo very much. It had pretty much everything you could want. There were only 3 small spoons in the condo but there was only the two of us so it wasn't really an issue. The location was within two blocks from Waikiki beach and very conveniently located to a major bus route. There were plenty of beach towels and mats to use at the beach. The utensils were not very clean but I presume that was from the last renter, not the cleaning staff. Overall, I would definitely stay here again and was of great value.

A great location, very close to the beach but not right on the strip and all it's noise! Well stocked kitchen, nice air conditioning, and a good view of both the beach and Diamond Head. Very easy walk to the zoo. I would definately stay here again if returning to Waikiki. The staff even went so far as to meet us later during our trip (while we were staying on the North Beach) to return my daughter's forgotten cell phone. Well above and beyond what we expected!

We were very pleased with this rental. It was very spacious and clean. We enjoyed a number of amenities for cooking and free local and long distance calls. The location was awesome, sharing the same block with all the major hotel chains (Marriot, Hyatt). It is only a 5 minute walk from the main entertainment strip and beach. The area is the heart of the city. If your vacation is about entertainment you will love the area; if you are into quiet relaxing you will probably be disappointed. It is very busy and congested with tourists. The backyard view wasn't that great because you face the balconies of a whole bunch of other hotels. But keep in mind that this area is very densely populated and people who payed big money to stay at the fancy hotels are getting the same view. At least with this property you still get to see a strip of the ocean and the occasional group of surfers.<br/> The owners are very friendly and promptly respond to any of your questions. Apartment was very clean with good amenities and was furnished tastefully for a holiday scenario.Great location at the Diamond Head end of Waikiki as not so busy ...Plusses are -no room key required , free parking , free Wi-Fi (worked well) ,aircon , close to the elevators, free local calls, washer/dryer and trash room on same floor.Only negatives (very minor) some kitchen chairs need repairing (one could poss collapse) , lights not bright enough for effective night reading (suggest bring own book light)...also suggest the parking pass be laminated as it is getting very tattered....overall very satisfied and will definitely return. Great Hotel, cheap price, unfortunately it was under construction/remodeling when my wife and I stayed. One thing that I did not know was the room you rent (ie 2106) is not part of the 'hotel' that is why they give you check in procedures via email. Don't go ask the front desk like I did. Overall though two blocks from the oceanfront and lots of fun and restaurants and sun.

Very clean, modern, elegant with a view at Waikiki and the ocean. A pleasant home away from home. Great moon view at night! The only downside - the couch in the living room is not very comfortable. The king bed in the bedroom is superb.

We rented this condo for two adults and one child for a week and it was fabulous. The views are great, the layout is perfect for letting a toddler run around and the company is very easy to work with. We were within easy walking distance to the main Waikiki promenade and beaches. TheBus stop is right outside the door. Construction was going on at the time we were there but we didn't even notice! All and all we had a great time and look forward to returning sometime soon! We miss the views from the lanai already!

We thought this condo was perfect for my 2 teenagers and myself. The king size bed, and the sofa bed were very comfortable. The interior finishings were top notch, the tvs great.Nice big bathroom, lots of closet space. The building itself was kids enjoyed the tennis courts and pool. The front desk staff was very helpful eventhough we were in a private rental. Having the parking included was excellent as parking can be pretty pricey, and the wifi worked really well allowing us to stay in touch with home and do some online investigation of things we wanted to do. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because a week before we arrived we found out we wouldn't be able to use the lanai due to building outside maintenance. Kai of Ali'i Beach Rentals was very apologetic (it was supposed to be finished before we arrived) and tried to find us other accomodation. In lieu of that he did give us a discount. I would definitely recommend this property, and would stay there myself if I return.

Amenities in the building lacked a bit: no hot tub, secluded BBQ area, no gymn, very few deck chairs, etc. Also, our flight left in the evening and we had to be out by 10:30 am and the hotel would not store our luggage, not even for an extra fee. What do you do with 4 pc of luggage all day long?

We had a good stay, was disapponted we couldn't use the balcony, but, we agreed.<br/>Found a shortage of towel bars in bathroom (there was only one) Tub slipperly (needed a rubber mat). Toaster would not release, had to manually pop up. Found the floor was not washed (checked in at 4:00 p.m. by bedtime our socks were very dirty) as we did not wear shoes in condo. One of the couch cushions and the kitcehn chair had some stains. But, other then these few minor items, we really enjoyed our stay.

My husband and I enjoyed our 5 day stay. Condo was clean and spacious for the 2 of us. Amenities i.e.paper towel, toilet paper(adequate amt for our stay),hand/dish soap were supplied---I was worried that I would have to go out to buy these items. I wish that the king headboard was bolted to mattress frame because it kept banging against wall when one shifted in bed--annoying. The bathroom lights took awhile to brighten when switched on. On arrival, I couldn't find the parking pass/magnetic card on the kitchen counter as stated on arrival instructions--had to call Ali Rentals in a panic(husband was outside building waiting in car). Ali Rentals had relocated parking pass/card to envelope on side of fridge (we weren't informed of new location). Overall a very good experience. We highly recommend renting this condo.

We definitely got what we paid for, which was a lot! You can tell they're renovating, but not anything to be annoyed at. Full on kitchen with range, large fridge, microwave, and cafe table. Two Vizio-brand flat screens in the living room and bedroom. Small balcony with plastic chairs. Obstructed views of the water but still able to see it; clear views of Diamondhead. For a married couple with no kids it was perfect. A 10-minute walk from the heart of the "strip" or a few minutes cab ride away. Definitely recommend.

My husband and I stayed here for 12 nights in September. This was our second time using Ali'i Beach Rentals. I love the ease of booking and the check in instructions are clear and easy to follow. This condo was just as it appears in pictures. The two TV's were great and the place was neat and clean when we arrived. We like the high speed internet and free parking space. The location was 2 blocks from the beach with a great view of the ocean from the balcony. The only thing I would have liked is a vacuum cleaner in the unit to sweep up the sand during during our stay.

The condo is conveniently located and the veiws from the Lanai is spectacular. Even though the lifts are at times slow (who is in a rush on vacation anyways). I thoroughly enjoyed my whole duration stay and would definately stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay. The condo was extremely clean and the staff helpful. The location was great being at one end of the strip allowed us easy access to the freeway system. We traveled around the island daily and were able to get everywhere. Walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. A short drive to Walmart our first day and we were able to fill the kitchen with supplies for breakfast and snacks. There is also a convenience store on the 5th floor of the building where you may rent snorkels etc... The concierge desk in the lobby is available daily to arrange activities also. We would stay at this location again.

The condo unit itself has been nicely renovated, and kitchen is well stocked w/ dishes, utensils and pots and pans. Doesn't have a dishwasher though. Unit is generally well furnished, but I agree w/ a previous review that the hide-a-bed was very uncomfortable. Our daughter wound up sleeping on the floor after the 1st night, cos she ended up w/ a sore back. Perhaps owner should look into replacing it w/ a better quality sofabed. Location is fine - 2 blocks to beach, and the unit has a nice view of the ocean and Diamond Head. The building itself, however, is old and in need of a freshen up, and you can have a long wait for the elevators. Also late checkout is costly, even if the unit is vacant after your stay - you will be charged for half a day to extend your stay till 3pm, and a full day if it's past 3pm. Overall we had a great vacation, and are pleased w/ the rental unit.

I would recommend the Rental Company Alli Beach Rentals as they were very customer service oriented however the condo was not very clean and a bit "beat-up" inside. Also, the street was littered with garbage and smelled a little.

Very nice, cozy condo! You can tell the owner has done a lot of remodeling recently. Be aware that you'll need to bring your own soap for the shower (we've been use to small guest soaps) and you'll need to purchase most of your seasonings if you plan on cooking (I guess we've been spoiled with "left overs" from previous vacationers at other condos!) Overall, a very nice place that we would be more than happy to rent again!

The Sunset is located at the end of Waikiki beach which is a great location, not quite as busy as the main area. Our condo was just perfect for the 2 of us. It appeared to be newly renovated, very clean and had everything we needed. When we go back to Waikiki we will definitely stay here again. Shelly was very easy to deal with, we extended our vacation by one extra day and there was no problem. She also allowed us to check in early which really helped. the only thing I would like to see is a small cooler for the trips to the store. We rented the beach chairs which really is a must. Wish I was back in Hawaii now. We have been telling our friends about the Sunset as it truly is a great place and a great price.

We enjoyed everythng except the quality of the sofa bed. The mattress wasn't comfortable even for our children (8&10). Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The parking spot was a real asset as were the two tvs at various 'down times' (when recovering from sunburn etc). Would definitely return or recommend.
