How to Get Here & Getting Around - Vancouver Airport is the major international airport of the province, which is served by most major international airlines. If you’re traveling by car, there are a number of land border crossing from the US into BC from Washington State. There are also land border crossings into BC from Idaho, Montana, and Alaska. BC is also connected to Alberta and Yukon by a number of major highways.

Driving is the easiest way to see the province as BC has an excellent highway system that is well-maintained, map, and signed, plus plenty of scenic driving routes. There are also rental car companies that can be found in cities and towns. All cities have airports and most towns are serviced by bus or rail. The Greyhound and VIA Rail offer scheduled service to more than 200 locations in the province. BC Ferries serves almost 50 ports of call along the BC coastline.

When to Go - British Columbia welcomes most of its visitors between months of June through August. Fall and Spring are excellent times to visit because the tourist areas are less crowded. Although it rains in the coastal areas during the winter, it’s still a good time to visit BC, especially for skiing and snowboarding.
