Where to Stay & Why - Whether you want to enjoy a full day at the theme parks or spend most afternoons golfing and want to unwind at the end of the day in a home that offers peace and tranquility, then you’ve come to the right place! The well-appointed vacation rentals have been designed and decorated to provide an abundance of luxury amenities and are well equipped with all the usual items you’d expect to find in a home.
Choose how many bedrooms and bathrooms you want, you’ll surely find a vacation home or condo rental that will provide ample space for everyone. Some homeowners even make up some of the beds (twin or bunk beds) with Disney-style bedding for a theme vacation. There’s comfortable furniture and flat-screen TVs for you to lounge in the living room. The kitchen includes all necessary appliances and utensils to prepare a home-cooked meal. Some have a poolside kitchen with a grill, burner stove, a fridge, and a bar!
Since most of the homes have a pool, everyone can gather on the pool deck with comfortable sun loungers, a shaded lanai perfect for Alfresco meals with plenty of seating and an overhead paddle fan for your comfort. If you’re feeling luxurious, other homes even have a home theater! Other amenities can include game/entertainment room with game tables, game consoles, computer, and TV. While the internet, phones, laundry facilities, and air-conditioning is available in most homes, others go the extra mile by providing stuff for groups with little kids, like strollers and high chairs. If you require transport, attraction tickets, restaurant reservations and more, all you have to do is let the owner (some of them) know for them to arrange it for you in advance.
What to See & Do - While some of the rentals are located in a gated community where you can enjoy the clubhouse with pools, arcades, spa, gym, and bars, Davenport has its own attractions that should not be missed. Play in one of Davenport’s two large golf courses: The Highlands Reserve Golf Club and The Ridgewood Lakes Golf and Country Club. Most often, visitors of Davenport use the town as a jumping-off point to visit places like Disney World, Universal Studios and more!
Where to Eat & Drink - Since Davenport is centrally located, you’ll have access to many restaurants and chains near the rentals. Some of them are: The Davenport Cafe - perfect for breakfast and lunch, and for dinner, and the 11th St. Bar & Grill - a pub and restaurant combined so you can enjoy nights when you want food and entertainment all in one place.
How to Get Here & Getting Around - Davenport is located along Interstate 4 and is connected to many of Central Florida’s main cities and attractions. It’s also within driving distance from Orlando International Airport, Lakeland Linder Regional, and Orlando Sanford.
You’ll want to have a car during your stay, and utilize Interstate 4 to head to the theme parks, or US 17/92 for Kissimmee. The city is set up on a grid system and is fairly easy to navigate.
When to Go - The peak season, like March, is where you can enjoy absolutely everything in and around Davenport. It gets very busy during Spring Break and over the summer, meaning it can get very hot and humid. Consider the shoulder seasons, like September, for cooler weather. Families flock here during school vacation weeks and throughout the summer months too.
