Within the walls of this middle age, urban center, are the well preserved landmarks
Palazzo del Comune (Town Hall), the Pallazo della Corgna (the Della Corgna Palace), and perhaps most notably the
Castello del Leone (Fortress of the Lion). This pentagonal-shaped castle dates back to the year 1247 and features square towers in four of its corners, and a triangular shaped bastion on the remaining fifth. The building,
