PROBLEMS upon ARRIVAL?
We strive to provide you with a delightful vacation experience. UPON CHECK-IN, please get in touch with us with any challenges you may have with the cabin. To ensure that your stay is enjoyable, we need to be able to address any challenges at the beginning of your stay. Please email us, notify us via the FIX IT APP, or call us at 909.547.6015 for any urgent matters.

What do I bring? For your convenience, towels, bed linens, hand and kitchen soap, starter supplies for paper products, trash bags, and all basic kitchen items are included with this cabin rental. Please bring extra towels if used on floors and for lake use (if applicable - we provide white bathroom towels only.) We wash our sheets and towels in hot water with bleach, but if you feel more comfortable bringing your comfy linens and pillows, please feel free.
For extra comfort, Lysol wipes and disinfectants should be brought and used throughout your stay.

We provide starter items such as one roll of toilet paper for each bathroom, one roll of paper towels, hand soap, and some trash bags. Please provide the remainder of these supplies for the bathrooms: paper towels, toilet paper rolls, soaps, shampoos (we do not provide shampoos,) large trash bags, recycle bags, charcoal, or propane for the BBQ (depending on which your cabin has,) and firewood for the fireplace. NOTE: NO WOOD to be burned in gas fireplaces or firepits. NO open fires are allowed in Big Bear per Fire Dept.

DIRECTIONS: There are three ways to drive to Big Bear; see Google Maps for the best option for you to use either the "front way" using Hwy 330 from San Bernardino (a winding mountain road, very picturesque!) or Hwy 38, also from San Bernardino area (also a winding mountain road and picturesque) or the back way using Hwy 18, through Apple Valley and Lucerne Valley, might be slightly longer, but a much less winding road and most often less winter road conditions.
Big Bear also has a private airport for those who are private pilots or have friends who fly!

Chains for Winter Roads All vehicles are required to carry chains during the winter season. Having 4-wheel drive and snow tires is the best option for traveling the winter roads, but chains are still required to be IN your vehicle. Most auto parts carry chains. You can confirm the details of the road conditions and possible road closures with CALTRANS at 800-GAS-ROAD. (And remember, all cars must be parked in the driveway, no street parking is permitted.)
Weather - Take a look at for current Big Bear weather- and road conditions.

NOISE ORDINANCE - Be Respectful of Neighbors - Not everyone around you is on vacation. While we encourage an enjoyable time, please NOTICE that there is a City Noise Ordinance - No Loud Noise is allowed outside of the rental home after 9:00 pm, and no amplified music is allowed outdoors at any time. (Outside chatter can be much louder than you realize and becomes amplified in the evening air :)

Check-In Time - Check-In is 4:00 pm, and Check-out is 11:00 am.
Notice Holiday Check Out 10:00 am.

All guests are required to check into our office and will be sent an email with proper check-in instructions on the day of arrival.

I understand that I am renting a vacation rental home at my own risk, and I am assuming all risks associated with this rental and agree to hold harmless and indemnify Sierra Canyon Enterprises and its associates.

IMPORTANT! VACATION RENTAL CLEANING and CARE
While this is your vacation, and you are not responsible for detailed cleaning, there are a few requests we ask of you while staying and upon checking out, some of which are requirements of a city ordinance.

1. Upon EXITING - LOCK the digital lock by holding the button for 3 seconds. If keys are used, replace all keys in the correct lockbox (enter the key code to remove and replace the lockbox faceplate).

2. Turn house HEAT down to 55 degrees at check OUT. Do NOT turn the heater off, or pipes may freeze. (Big Bear is a cooler climate; therefore, there is no air conditioning in any vacation rentals.)

3. PETS:
IF your cabin is pet friendly, and if your DOG is joining you, make sure to BRING a PET BED and CRATE. We also love pets but insist they are not on the furniture. Please ensure pet hair is not on bedding or furniture and remove pet hair from floors and rugs, as not everyone loves pets as much as we do. Pets are not to be left unattended in the cabin, not even in a locked bathroom. PUYO Poo! Pick Up Your POO!
IF your cabin is NOT pet friendly and you bring a pet(s) anyways - I ([Guest first name] [Guest last name]) agree to pay ADDITIONAL FEES if bringing a dog. I ([Guest first name] [Guest last name]) understand I can move cabins if a dog is needed to be brought. Service dogs are welcomed WITH a valid service dog ID.

4. Perform a light clean.
Pick up and remove trash (see trash / recycle locations below) and turn down linens on used beds.
Place all dishes in the dishwasher and start the cycle. Wash any dishes that are not being washed in the dishwasher.
Replace silverware and utensils in proper drawers.
Turn off all appliances (coffee maker, toaster, etc.,) lights, and running water.

5. TRASH and RECYCLE Remove all Trash and Recycle from vacation rentals when leaving (City Ord.) - There is no TRASH & RECYCLE pick up at vacation homes in Big Bear. Please note, (a $50 MINIMUM Charge for trash & recycle left on the property, $25 per additional bag.) (Note: Animals love to get into trash left outside overnight, making a mess to clean up.) MAKE SURE TO BRING YOUR RENTAL AGREEMENT. To Drop off the trash, you must show proof of your reservation with your signed rental agreement or reservation receipt.
Trash and Recycle Facilities are located:
• 39690 Big Bear Blvd., just East of Cienega Rd, Big Bear Lake.
• 41974 Garstin Rd., across from Moonridge Rd. Big Bear Lake.

6. To ensure clean WHITE towels for our guests, do not use white towels and linens for cabin cleaning. For spills/cleanup, paper towels or extra towels marked with an X are stored under the sink.

7. DO NOT REMOVE ashes from the Fireplace and BBQ. Our staff will place ashes in the sealed Metal ash bucket on the outside deck. (City Fire Ordinance) Disposing of ashes anywhere other than the Metal ash buckets is a severe fire hazard.

8. Relax and take a look outside. It's beautiful! You're almost done.

9. NO SMOKING inside any vacation rental. CIGARETTE BUTTS must be placed in METAL ASH BUCKET outside. It's a City Ordinance, a severe FIRE HAZARD, and just plain litter. DO NOT REMOVE SMOKE DETECTORS per ordinance.

10. Some cabins have a PRIVATE HOT TUB, please Keep the Hot Tub COVERED at All times when the spa is not in USE, or the spa will get cold & dirty. Secure Cover and Do Not turn down the Temperature at check out.

PLEASE NOTE: If the cabin does NOT have a HOT TUB! If you would like a hot tub, ask us if there are any cabins available with hot tubs (additional charges may incur upon deciding to switch.)

11. Replace all REMOTES & CHARGERS on top of their respective TV or Stereo. (Do not leave them in drawers, suitcases, or on the couch or bed.)
ALL TV, INTERNET, and HDMI CABLES must be returned to the normal operating position! Hunting for remotes and rewiring tv cables can take a lot of time.

12. Lock doors and windows before leaving.
HOLD the FRONT DOOR button for 3 seconds to lock digital locks.

13. [Custom field 3]

14. Cars must be parked in designated spaces off the street. Big Bear strictly enforces these regulations, and failure to comply may result in the tow of your vehicle and a citation, per City ordinance Code enforcement.

15. "Change your thoughts, Change your World." Norman Vincent Peale - How does this relate to checking out? We hope you are rejuvenated after your vacation, that your positive energy will be contagious to others, and that you will return to your daily life and inspire the world!

Check-in time is 4:00 pm*. Check-out time is 11:00 am.* Holiday Check-in is at 4:00 pm, and Check-Out is 10:00 am from December 15th to January 10th.
