Skiers at Sun Peaks have access to 138 runs including 19 gladed areas. The longest run is 5 miles. There are 3 mountains with 4,270 acres of skiable terrain with just over half intermediate runs and the rest almost evenly split between novice and expert. Snowboarders are welcome at Sun Peaks where there is a large snowboard park covering 30 acres, a wild half-pipe and a terrain park loaded with excitement.

The third mountain is open, with the Mt. Morissey lift---a high speed quad--accessing 600 acres of terrain-- including 17 glade runs and 1500' of vertical.

Sun Peaks Resort has 20 kilometers of track-set classic trails and skating lanes as well as wilderness trails which provide a total of over 40 kilometers of pristine trails for cross-country skiers.

Dog sledding: Purebred Malamute Huskies and Canadian Eskimo dogs give visitors a chance to experience how the Inuit, trappers, and prospectors traveled over ice and snow. Other winter activities include fat biking trails, ski biking, and guided ice fishing

Sun Peaks Snowmobiling Tours offers exciting packages for the whole family, or if you prefer something more gentle enjoy the snow-covered trails of Sun Peaks in a horse-drawn sleigh.

Explore the natural winter terrain along designated snowshoeing trails that include bird feeding stations, wildlife viewing and a snow cave or try some skating at one of the two outdoor rinks at the Sports Centre. The Centre also has an outdoor pool and hot tub.

Sun Peaks Resort has a variety of restaurants offering everything from fine dining and pub fare to family restaurants and cafeterias.

In the shops at Sun Peaks, you can buy ski and snowboard clothes and equipment to get ready for the slopes, or handcrafted gifts and souvenirs to remind you of your vacation.

Summer at Sun Peaks means time for golf with a relaxing swim and soak in the hot tub afterward. Summer fun also includes tennis; there are two tennis courts and back-boards at the Sports Centre. For a water adventure try a trip in a 27' replica voyageur canoe. The North West Voyageur Company provides guided canoe trips on McGillvary Lake, emulating a day in the life of a voyageur. If you would like a different type of adventure you could also try Hang gliding!

Sun Peaks Resort presently has a wide variety of mountain bike trails suitable for all riding levels and abilities. Over 40km of single track lead on to mountain roads which are also open to ride. If you're going out in the wilderness, you should know the Rules of the Trail
