Welcome to ‘The Great Escape - Shirley & Bunkhouse - with Secluded Hot Tub’ site. ‘The Great Escape - Shirley & Bunkhouse’ is secluded & surrounded by forest. You will have your own Hot Tub. The Coach is a 40' luxury Coach has an electric fireplace, large slide-out, Corian counters, forced air heating & 1 Gbps WiFi. There’s a propane fire pit, BBQ outside, wood fired pit, with lots of wood. Has a Queen ‘Sleep Number’ bed, sofa bed and Bunkbeds & sleeps 6. Has a bathroom, washer & dryer, is fully furnished & equipped. Bring clothes, food & enjoy The Great Escape - Shirley Neighbourhood: TGE-S&BH is a short 14 minute drive to downtown Sooke, with many Parks, Beaches and walking paths close by. Shirley Delicious is but a 7 minutes away. Stoked Wood Fired Pizza is an 8 minute drive and French Beach is 9 minutes away. If you want to surf, Jordon River is only 17 minutes away. Everything from grocery stores, restaurants, medical centres and clinics, drug stores, and a multitude of other shops and stores, are all within close proximity in Sooke. Space: At TGE-S&BH, you will be secluded in the rural area of Shirley, just outside Sooke, on very quaint acreage with a large wooded area beside and around it, that you’ll be nosed right into the edge of it. The Coach is fully equipped with just about everything you will need. It accommodates up to 6 guests. Lots of linens, dishes, utensils, appliances, pots and pans, a supply of basic spices and a new microwave, and fridge - freezer, with ice maker. Cable TV, Netflix, Telus Channels with all the Outdoors, Documentary and Sports Channels, free Fibre 1G (940+ Mbps) Internet and WiFi, with ethernet connection outlets. It has ample free parking. Is pet friendly, for dogs only. Do come and enjoy a stay at “The Great Escape - Shirley & Bunkhouse - with Secluded Hot Tub”. The Coach is ideal for that private ' Get-Away ' and some relaxation time away. We love to host guests at our quiet and quaint property. Just bring your clothes, food and refreshments, then come and enjoy your Get-Away at “The Great Escape - Shirley & Bunkhouse - with your own Secluded Hot Tub" Access: You will receive an email with your Door and access Codes, Directions and Maps, 2 days before your Check-in date. On your Check-in date, we will greet and show you around, personally. We, live on the property in a separate home from the Coach, with a double garage between us and the Coach and your private secluded Hot Tub area. We are but a phone call or short walk away. We are also available by text, email or phone, at nearly anytime. Transit: There is no public transit or taxi service in the area, so a car to get around in would be ideal. House Manual: There is an entire ‘Guest Welcome Booklet’ on the table in the unit, full of detailed information on the rental, its' amenities, how things work and about the surrounding area sites to see and to dine at, and there is an Airbnb 'Guide Booklet' available online.

Terms And Conditions

Booking Deposit

The booking is confirmed with a deposit of 30 percent of the rent. Long Term Stay booking is confirmed with a deposit that is 30 percent of the rent.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation within 7 days of arrival, all payments are non-refundable.

Payment Methods

For payments made via credit card and/or Paypal, there is a 3.00 percent surcharge. Visa, Master Card, Amex, Direct Bank Deposit, Discover Card

Payment Balance

Balance of payment is due 7 days prior to arrival. For a "Long Term Stay", the above payment balance policy is different and should be discussed with the owner.

Security or Damage Deposit

A refundable security/damage deposit of 300 CAD is due 1 days prior to arrival. When warranted, the deposit (or portion thereof) is refunded within 2 days of departure., For a Long Term Stay, the deposit is 1000 CAD, Long term rentals may be subject to a larger deposit.

Check In/ Out Times Policies - Property Access

Check IN: 04:00 PM Check OUT: 11:00 AM Flexible Check In/Out times are possible, dependent on outgoing/incoming guests. Guest to notify owner if they expect to arrive after 6 pm. Check-in is not possible after 11 pm. When you arrive, someone will meet you at the property with a key.

Quiet Time Policy

The quiet time is from 10:00 PM To 08:00 AM

Smoking is allowed, but outside only.

Children Policies

Children of all ages are welcome. Children under the age of 12 must be supervised at the pool/hot tub.

Group & Min. Age Policies

There are group or minimum age requirements. Adult guests must be 21 years or older., Allow groups of families or couples., Maximum of 6 Adults., Maximum of 5 Children.

Pet Policy, Deposit & Fees

Pets are allowed. One-time fee of 30.00 CAD for stays of any number of nights or occupants.(Charged Any number of pets.) Pets allowed:Dog A security deposit of 300.00 CAD is not included in any calculations for the 'Total Rent' or 'Booking Notice'. Deposit applicability: Any number of pets. A guest must request this optional service. Maximum allowed: Two Pets A minimum "Fine" of 500.00 will apply if evidence of a pet is found in the property. Dogs must be kept on leash. Dogs must be well trained & behaved. Pets must not be left unattended. NOTE: Persons traveling with and requiring a Service Animal have special rights and must be granted access regardless.

Cleaning on Departure

A fee is charged for Cleaning on Departure One-time fee of 134.00 CAD for stays of any number of nights or occupants.

Cleaning During Stay

There is no cleaning/maid service available.
