Where to Stay & Why - All our accommodations in Habana Vieja features comfortable sleeping areas, private shower and bathroom, kitchenettes, and hot and cold water. There are living areas and dining areas that are shared with the owner. Some vacation rentals even have air conditioning, fans, and owners provide services like daily cleaning, airport pick-ups, and arrange tours and travels within and outside the area. Some even provide a cell phone for you to use during your stay!
What to See & Do - All our villa rentals are within walking distance of Old Havanas top sites and attractions. Plaza de Armas is home to Museo de la Ciudad and Castillo de la Real Fuerza and has always been a social hub. Plaza Vieja is one of Havanas most vibrant gathering spots while Plaza de San Francisco is facing the harbor and is cooled by the sea breezes. El Capitolio is also a distinctive landmark in the city, reminiscent of the US Capitol building in Washington, D.C. Castillo de San Salvador de la Punta is rich in history and is a pleasant place for a seaside stroll with beautiful views.
Where to Eat & Drink - You dont have to go outside or make reservations to experience Cuban cuisine because many of the owners of the villas also serve meals from breakfast to dinner. If you want to try local establishments, La Bodeguita del Medio is a must-try restaurant that has been visited by practically every celebrity to set foot in Cuba. They serve drinks, seafood, and live music. Dona Eutimia serves the best ropa vieja (stewed beef) and homemade ice cream. Paladar Los Mercaderes is perfect for those refined and romantic date nights. Try the tapas and drinks at the graffiti-covered El Chanchullero.
How to Get Here & Getting Around - You can fly in via the Jose Marti International Airport. From there, if you havent arranged your pick-up, taxis are available, too. The best way to explore the area is by foot, as there are many side streets and narrow lanes that shouldnt be missed.
When to Go - There are only two seasons here - wet and dry - so its best if you visit from November to April.
