Wood Lake Rental Guide

Wood Lake is located in the aptly named area of 'Lake Country', in the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia. It is south of Vernon, in the Winfield district of Lake Country, and a 25 minute drive north of Kelowna. The area averages 2,000 hours of sunshine annually, and the locally grown fruits are bountiful.

The Okanagan Valley is famous for its long, hot, dry summers. The many lakes in this region offer a refuge from the summer's heat. Wood Lake is warmer than some other lakes in the area, as it is more shallow. It's Marina also has a Pub which offers great food, and a spectacular view of the Lake.

Nearby Woods Lake Golf Courses include the Okanagan Golf Club (which offers the Bear Course and the Quail Course), and Predator Ridge Golf Resort, which held the televised 'Skins Game' in the summer of 2000. For families and beginners, there is the 9 hole course at Aspengrove Golf Course, just minutes from the Lake.
