North Okanagan, or formally known as the Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO), is situated in the Canadian province of British Columbia. It is comprised of a group of communities that include the cities of Armstrong, Enderby and Vernon, the district municipalities of Coldstream and Spallumcheen, the village of Lumby, and the regional district electoral areas from North Okanagan B up to North Okanagan F. Other places of interest include the Starlight Drive-In Theatre, which is the largest drive-in movie theatre screen in North America, and the Deep Creek Tool Museum, which is home to the world's largest reel lawnmower. A tour of the North Okanagan region will never be complete without stopping at Coldstream, which is best known for the Coldstream Ranch. It is also popular for its assortment of beach-combing and swimming activities. Coldstream is home to one of the areas most popular beaches, Kal Beach, as well as other lovely beaches including Sovereign Beach, Tamarack Beach, and Juniper Beach. Coldstream also borders on a park called Kalamalka Provincial Park, where tourists can enjoy the scenic views, the natural environment, and the various hiking trails.
